Iguanodon is incorrect ...
When it was first put together Iguanodon had the weird thumbs. It was the first dino skeleton assembled I think. Recently researchers discovered that the thumb bones belonged to a different dinosaur. Looks like this game is using the older, incorrect version of Iguanodon.

When Iguanodon was named in 1825, the thumb spike was thought to be a nose horn, but later they realized it was indeed a thumb spike, the model ingame is correct.

...What?

No seriously? What?

Like Zoie said, Iguanodon was first reconstructed with a horn on the nose. Not to mention it was reconstructed as literally a giant lizard.

Iguanodon is one of the most numerous genera of dinosaur and multiple species have been discovered, all with a thumb spike.

Relatives of Iguanodon have ALSO been found with thumb spikes.

I think it's safe to say the Iguanodon is fairly accurate and you don't know what you're talking about.

People will never know how dinosaurs TRUELY looked. We can only speculate based on the fossils we find and examine, we can only think and see what we want to see. Some people want to see Iguanodon with a nose horn, and some people want to see it with a badass thumb horn it uses to slash with.

I'd like to think it would have both, but a thumb horn like Zoie said is most accurate, in my opinion.

You're complaining about accuracy on a jurassic park game?

Well, if they made it have a nose horn then it would be super innacurate and then there would have a reason to make this thread. :P

I mean, yea, thats a point, several Dinosaurs like Velociraptor and Dilophosaurus are modified geneticly to please guests in the Jurassic Park universe, but still, the Iguanodon we got is more accurate then any of it's earlier variations.

I think you guys are playing the wrong game I guess, JWE-we've got loads of paleontologists here. Hire them as dino designers for the game.

Most accurate based on what? Your opinion?

That doesnt stand when you've got bones and basic anatomy to take into account.

And I also said that the nose horn was innacurate as well.

The model ingame is fine.
