Little question about different dinos in the same enclosure...
Tried to put 3 velociraptor in a very large enclosure with non-dangerous herb dinos,
both carnivore and herb food was heavily present, i was thinking in sporadic kills by velociraptor.
Turns out raptors kill everything just for fun, never eating preys...
Is there any way to creeate a carnivore-herbivore ecosystem in this game?

Small Herbivores and medium herbivores and compys (Mimus, boneheads, hadrasaurs, iguanodons, nigersaurus) Can't be put with any carnivores.
Armoured herbivores (horn face, spike tail, club tails) Can't be put with large carnivores.
Giant herbivores (long necks) can't be put with the indo rex.
Small carnivores can't be put with the indoraptor or other small carnivores..
Raptors can't be put with t rexs.
Large carnivores can't be put with other large carnivores.

Kind of curious about this myself, but in regard to different dinosaurs. I figure it would never work with Raptors but are there any carnivores that will mind their own business so long as you keep them fed?

I've put Proceratosaurus and Triceratops together in a sizeable pen with feeders for both, and had no fights break out among them even after like 30min. The little guys will just run away from any Triceratops they get near, then calm down after a bit. Not sure if it would work with a smaller pen though.

I've mixed a single species of small carnivores (including indo and spino raptorsa) and large herbivores (diplodocus and brachiasaurus) in the same pen without incident.

Is that the first island?

Yeah first island

So first pen I'm assuming. Is it just the Proceratosaurus and Triceratops in there? Nothing else?

And since we're kind of talking about feeders, does it matter where you put them? I would think closer to the game to make loading easier.

No it was not the first pen. It was a separate one i built elsewhere on the island. Yeah it was just those 2 dinosaurs. I had around 3 or 4 live bait feeders for the Proceratosaurus to use, and 2 or so feeders for the Triceratops to eat from. It was 10 Proceratosaurus and 6 triceratops roaming around in the pen.

Velociraptors and triceratops get along well, no dead dinos yes.. Also Troodon and armored (with def stats) seems to work. Smaller herbis get attacked/ poisoned (e.g. Dracorex is not a good choice, this Stigyguy neither)

There is a herbivore categorie called "Armored". This means: Triceratops, Stegosaur and Anklyosaur like herbivores. They can be mixed really good with Raptor sized carnivores. They are too big for them as prey. Sometimes they bark at each other but there are no real fights till death... works for me over all isles.

For large carnivores you are more restricted. You can mix only Sauropods and small carnivores like the raptors or Herrarasaurus or Proceratosaurus within the same enclosure. Indominus Rex will even kill Sauropods, so only small carnis here in the same pen.

Not sure about Indoraptor, but I read it will attack everything smaller than a Sauropod.

Are you getting this from another FAQ/Guide or is this stuff you learned from playing? If it's the latter you should be working for PRIMA because their current guide for this game sucks. :P They need you over there getting it done right.

From what I've experienced, Small carnivores can be mixed with armored herbivores or large herbivores with ease. Most large carnivores (except Indo) have no issue with small carnivores being around (excluding T-rex and raptor combo, they will fight)

Okay well a Ceratosaurus just killed my two Edmontosaurus. :P

I guess size isn't enough. They need to be big AND well armored.

A ceratosaurus is considered to be a large carnivore if you check their info before releasing one.

I quickly built a small enclosure and got him moved. Turned out to be a good move because it took me over three stars.
