Bigger map or an island creator
Alright so i've been really mad at frontier since i started playing JWE. Like c'mon guys the name of the game is JURASSIC WORLD evolution but i can't even make jurrasic world because of the small maps. Even the "large" maps are small. Only way to fix that is by giving us the whole island to work with or making a island creator like operation genesis did. The game feels very restricted at times because of the small maps. Please FIX!
~Good luck:cleandino:

Maybe for JWE2(if that even becomes a thing) but I highly highly doubt such an option would ever exist for this game. Would be great to have though.

I feel like the game was based around the campaign with no thought put into "what about after" scenario.

They wanted to set certain challenges based around the map and designed them to fit that purpose. Then thought 'oh let's give people sandbox so they can do what they want, but only on the tiny maps, let's not given them lots of room.'

I find Nublar to be the best option for sandbox, you can get quite a lot of dino species on it if you mix them up. But yeah, when you're in sandbox they are simply too restricted. A island creator would have been great.

I only bought the game recently for a whopping total of £15 (all DLC included). So I am happy with what I got, I'd have been real bumped had I paid full price, certainly not worth it IMO. I'm working on getting the last two achievements (ingen database and the 18 species on a tour thing). After that I will probably put the game to bed.

The sandbox is kind of cool, I made a nice set up on Nublar, but without a decent option to make the park of my dreams, I just don't know what to do at this point.

Sorry, turned into a bit of a rant. :lunar2019laughingpig:

I would like to thank the original poster for posting this as it answers my question. I periodically check in on this game to see if the developers have finally done as the original poster suggests. I don't know why they are so intransigent where something so basic is concerned, but I think that it is safe to say waiting for as much to happen eventually is a waste of time, and as such it is time for me to dump this game from my wish list.

You can thank Universal for that.

I am also thankful for this thread. I just submitted my refund ticket after 7 hours of playing because I kept getting "Terrain Constraint" and "Building Constraint" issues. So I had to build everything 2 miles apart and that's just not practical on those tiny islands. It's a shame because I have Planet Coaster and it's building system is so amazing. I have so much fun creating themed parks with wonderful scenery, I thought JWE would have even an ounce of that. Not only is it lacking in scenery, I can't even build pre-built buildings.

I paid $12 for this and I'll still be mad if I don't get a refund.

Do you have an article referencing what you mean? Did universal box them in a creative corner or something?

Pretty much yeah. Just compare what's possible and all the features and what not in Planet Coaster and now Planet Zoo to the much more basic well...everything in this game. Very minimalist compared to those games from the same people. Frontier absolutely could add a bunch more stuff if they wanted too but Uni clearly said no.

I mean, I kind of figured this, but I was wondering if there was an article that pointed to anything more concrete from Universal. I love Planet Coaster so imagine my disappointment with this game...

Ugh, what's with most dinosaur games having great potential but not fully using it? Amirite?
