monorail help
I'm on the second island, Isla Muerta, and researched Monorail. I'm trying to build it and I'm having trouble getting the tracks to connect. Not because of steep curves or building constraints but I can't get the ends to close, either two tracks together or from a station to a track. I've watched youtube videos to see what I'm missing and it seems like I should be able to use the blue plus sign to drag a track from that spot, but the plus signs don't work for me. Nothing happens if I click them. So I'm having to build my tracks backward in a way, like I click in a new spot and then drag it back to the existing track or station. I can't drag a track forward from an existing track. So I work backwards but then no way to connect to make an endpoint. I hope this makes sense. Help please!

You have to start with either the end at the station or an existing end. You cannot drag from any spot on the map to your existing track / station. So click the monorail icon on the left menu and click the 'Build Rail' button ( it defaults to the 'Build Stataion' function). Now move your mouse over the side of the station you want to start building from or over the end of the existing track you want to continue from. The rail should 'snap'. Click. Now you can drag the rail around.

Thanks for answering! The problem is I'm not getting the snap. I've figured out if I double click sometimes it will snap but it's like I have to get it at just the right point and it's a bit tricky. But I was finally able to build my monorail this way. Not sure if it's a bug or what. My shops and restaurants also aren't saving their management style (food, drink, fun, shopping, finances) and revert back to none. This appears to be a known bug on frontier's site, so maybe it's all connected. I just started playing 5 days ago so I though for sure I was just missing something obvious but I do think something isn't working quite right with the monorail. But at least for now I can get it done with some frustration.

Sometimes rotating the map around gets your pointer to the right angle when you build stuff.

Press M to bring up the map view to reset the camera angle if it gets stuck really low.
