There are better words to use then dead or abandoned.
Because the way you are using it is pretty much no different than,
Fact: Barney the Purple Dinosaur is secretly the leader of the Illuminati.
You should replace it with,
"OPINION 1" or "RANT 1" etc.
I agree, the word 'dead' is overused in gaming, as is abandonware. Unless it's announced that the game will be part of a unique updating cycle, you should assume it will eventually stop getting updates.
However, some games that were considered abandoned even got updated years down the line. Star Wars Empire at War got some patches to fix some MP issues. This was probably due to new ownership and a rise in player complaints, but the company still didn't need to do it. Could have just left it to the modding community.
While i hate to agree with you its correct. Granted i like the game, that said their other games get more love and attention than this does which is sad.
