Unlocking paid dlc

(For my son) I see the 4 dlc packs I’m his library. But he doesn’t know how to find them within the game or what he needs to do to unlock. Sorry he’s pretty young and frustrated about it . Are they’re guides ? Thanks

in order to unlock the DLC content (particularly the Dinosaur packs) you need to achieve certain division rank levels on the different islands.
Content of the larger DLC becomes available to unlock in the campaign after their respective campaigns are played through in their entirety.

Having the dlc is one step, playing the game's campaign and unlocking to content in the sandbox is the next step.
