Starts to sound like negligence on the part of developers like this.
the game doesn't crash at all
disabling nahamic usually results in bsod and broken audio in everything
nahamic uses Realtek hd universal driver
when i got my new pc out of the box a few months ago windows update decided it would install the wrong sound driver that bsod my pc
only way to fix my pc was to go in device manager and delete Realtek HD driver
run msi live update
update nahamic and install Realtek HD universal driver
then go to sound icon on taskbar an set its playback device to the new driver
then open nahamic and configure the sound and make sure nahamic is using the universal driver
if both old HD an new universal drivers are installed they conflict and pc bsod
get rid of old driver to fix that!
game runs fine on my system as nahamic is a core part of my AMD MSI system!
Ryzen 7 16 core CPU
msi armour 8gb video card
32gb ram
250gb ssd... windows on this device
1tb hdd... game installed on this drive
Bugrosoft Bugrows 10
careful fiddling with nahamic as you could brick the sound on ya pc n bsod windows if it's not setup correctly
game runs fine with nahamic on my end and it hasn't crashed once!
Same here.
I've previously played this game on 399.07 (luckily I have no RTX), but I finally updated my GPU drivers to the latest ones.
I either get random crashes ingame now and the worst thing is, even if I make a hard save the mission objectives aren't saved.
I should take a shot of a dinosaur sleeping and one being socializing.
After half an hour I had these shots and suddenly a random driver crash.
When I booted up, I was sure that I had to take the shot of a sleeping dinosaur again, but no.
I needed both of them even if I made a savegame after completing the first objective.
This drives me away from continuing it unfortunately.
I am thinking of reverting to 399.07 but it's simply ridiculous that they cannot sort these things out.
Which is hilarious as of playing Mad Max (2016) in 4K on highest settings. ^^
To be fair, that's a well optimized game, runs on a different engine, etc. etc.
But I still would be pretty sure that JWE would run on the 399.07 driver as good as it did before I updated.
Yet it doesn't come to my mind why I should stick to old age graphic drivers just for one game.
However... As of being able to play without crashes (at least not within more than 1 hr playtime), I got to the second island and found some weird bug.

I shot down the stegos manually (no tasks) so they might somehow fell down there. XDDDD
Yet it's not that funny if hitting them again with a dart is either part of the mission. oO
After I solved this issue on my own, the transportation with the choppa went well.
