@Delta-9: What do you mean 'viability'?
The missions are randomly assigned in that so sometimes it asks you to make a dinosaur you can't at that point in time. Don't worry though, if you go to the Contracts screen you can cancel it-and don't worry too much about doing that, it won't negatively impact the other divisions.

No, because it wasn't asking for a baryonix at that point, it just said it wanted all the herbivores to be housed together, which they were.
The issue seems to have resolved itself now; after not playing the game for a few days I logged back on and the mission immediately updated itself asking for a baryonix to be incubated. Not sure if it had something to do with the recent update, because I couldn't find any mention of the bug in the changelog. Sorry for taking so long to reply.
