Unfortunately, when there is no path, it's easier to see, so it spells it out when I don't need it.
Currently, I don't have an issue with 90% of the buildings I create, but when I hit one that is a problem, I just have to spam pylons and substations, bulldoze and repeat until it just works.
There has to be an easier way, as is I am wasting a lot of time and funds.
There is just some piece of it I'm missing.
Sounds really buggy if you say your Powerplant has Power Surplus!?
Using the Upgrade to generate more Power? Do you link all buildings in your Park to all Powerplants, or do you connect each Powerplant only to whatever it can support and a dedicated Network for the next one?
you can use the map to see if you have 100% energy coverage it works similair to the people's field of view when placing viewing stations... but this is very weird indeed , if you do not cover certaint buildings you would be able to see on the map which of the buildings doesnt have enough power , the simple solution is build a substation near the buildings which dont have power make sure it covers all the buildings... if this doesnt solve the issue then you might not have enough power so you wil have to build another powerplant. the only thing i look at is if my substation's cover my entire park including electric fences , and that i have enough powerplants to provide the power needed to make sure everything works , plus you could add upgrades to your powerplants to increase productivity or avoid your powerplants from failing. and also make sure that everything is connected the powerlines to the substations and ofcourse the paths , but the game pretty much explains everything when you press the notification items above , you wil go into the map and see where the problem is and what it could be. you pretty much get a notification all the time when something wrong happens to your park. even when your animals run out of food. i also remember when playing the game for the first time it has a very good tutorial , pretty much ian malcolm and other jurassic park/world actors in the game explain every aspect in the game when the time is right to do so. best tip i could give to new players never skip the dialogue it explains allot. if you know all these things explained above and followed the tutorial as intended then you might have a bug in your game.
A substation can only draw power from the power plants it is connected to.
Reliability + power increase is must
Reliability v3 is good enough for 2 power increases of v3.
It's probably this, I started over, and it's much cleaner now, I still ran into this but I'm not wasting as much and it doesn't look terrible.
