How to remove pre-order content from save game?

Hi,

I played JWE for quite a long time at my friend's computer. He has the pre-order version installed.

Now I bought the game for myself because I enjoyed it that much.

After I copied my save game file, there is now an error during load on my PC, that the save game can't be loaded because pre-order skins are missing.

Is there a way to remove the pre-order data from my saved game sso I can use it on the normal version?

Just buy the dlc that adds the deluxe edition skins and you're done.

Deluxe edition doesnt equal pre order and probably you'll have to start a new save.

I found a fix, start the game on the account that can play the save, (On all islands) make sure none of your AC or Ranger stations has the pre order skins equipped save the game (i also played for a while to get the auto save file overwritten).

After that copy all the content from C:\Users\ YOUR USER \Saved Games\Frontier Developments\Jurassic World Evolution\The steam id folder with the save, To YOUR Steam id folder you want to use

Find your steam id with this https://steamidfinder.com/ and always make backups before you try something like this

Didn't work for me, sadly. I played through the game for a while and even made sure all my Ranger and ACU teams were parked and their skin changed to default just to make absolutely sure I had none of the preorder skins active, but I still get the error message when I load either one.

EDIT: Spoke too soon, managed to get it working! When changing your old save to remove the preorder skins, you need to save it in a new save slot and not just overwrite the save. It's possible you only need to do this if you've ever applied the preorder skins at some point (which I have) but this'll work if you want to be safe.
