Newbie here - how do I get dinosaurs into separate enclosures?
I am just on the first island, and there is one Hammond lab and an enclosure. How can I create carnivores into the same enclosure as the herbivores, without the carnivores killing everything?

Do you need to have a separate Hammond lab for EVERY enclosure you make?

I'm just not understanding how you release dinosaurs into different enclosures, to separate them as I want to do.

What I did in my first game was release a carnivore, then immediately sedate him and helicopter move him to another area that I fenced off of the first enclosure the island gives you, basically cutting the enclosure in half. But, there is still no release point to release the carnivores into their own area.

What am I not understanding, please?

Well you can fence off a box with 2 gates around the lab and then divide the enclosure in two with one gate leading to each. Once you aren't completely broke you will be able to add more labs and enclosures elsewhere.

Alternately if you have the ACU, you can just dart the carnivore as it comes out of the lab and then ferry him to another enclosure you made for him. That can get tedious though.

i juse make a minifence around the lab, tranq the carno and then airlift it to the other enclosure and after that i just delete the fence again, not the best method but you can have other enclosures spread out in other places

Just have one small enclosure where they enter after the hatchery.

Then move them to their own hatchery.

Thanks folks. It's kind of tedious having to sedate them, then move them every time, but I understand that's how it is.

So we ARE able to build multiple Hammond Labs later in the game? That's good to know.

I do like the idea of making a mini enclosure right outside the spawning gate, with gates to different enclosures. Just open the gate you want them to go into. Great idea! But, it doesn't help when the enclosures are far apart.

You can build more yes but they take up a lot of space in an already limited environment.

Each one is an entire exhibit for most dinosaurs just in actual space used for the building, and it's actually even more than that because of how the game decides what is and isn't usable terrain - your single biggest constraint in JWE is the land available.
