Sauropod Hunting
We all know that many large carnivores like Carcharodontosaurus and Giganotosaurus probably fed on juvenile sauropods and possibly hunted adults in packs, as proven by fossil trackways of Acrocanthosaurus and Sauroposeidon as well as fossils of multiple Mapusaurus, who probably hunted Argentinosaurus in packs. But, in this game, sauropods are nearly invincible, the only thing that can kill them is the Indominus Rex... there should be some sort of animation where two large carnivores known to hunt sauropods fight a sauropod, damaging it or killing it. I mean, it's not that bad of an idea and it would make the game much more realistic...

Yes, Carcharadontosaurids hunted sauropods in groups, much better suited for it than their Tyrannosaurid counterparts cuz of longer arms and teeth designed to rip flesh instead of crush bone.

But, since it requires animations and animations are expensive...I very much doubt we'll get it in a free update. So should it happen, expect it to be a single animal and not all Carcharadontosaurids.

The reason the only sauropod killer ir the game is the Indominus is the "killing for sport" scene from Jurassic World.

If it were realistic, every big carnivore should be able to hunt them.

Perhaps the large carnivores (I-Rex excluded of course) should only be able to hunt sauropods in groups of two?

Yeah, that's what I was saying.

No, I'd stick to the Carcharadontosaurids. Tyrannosaurs wouldn't be hunting sauropods since they were quite few in North America during the Cretaceous and Spinosaurids simply would've never come across them.

Giganotosaurus is confirmed to have hunted Argentinasaurus in groups so yeah, Catcharadontids only would be preferrable.

For Tyrannosaurids I'd like to see takedowns on hadrosaurs like the Gallimimus in JP. Whilst both are on the move and cant say much about Spinosaurs because those were piscivores mainly, carnivore second.

True, but I think that Tyrannosaurus might have possibly eaten juvenile Alamosaurus, but I dunno. Oh, and Tarbosaurus and Nemegtosaurus lived in the same environment, too so yeah. Also, Gigantosaurus hunted Andesaurus, it was Mapusaurus that hunted Argentinosaurus.

I am still waiting for the day when an Allosaurus can hunt the four sauropods that we currently have in the park. By four I mean the four that are found in the Morrison formation.

I know this is an old thread, but I'm going to post my opinion anyway. What my problem with the sauropods is, is that they don't do anything. They just walk around until something kills them, while I think they should be able to defend themselves.

Pointless necro as nothing will be done about their behavior anyways. The game is finished.
