JWE.exe is Missing/Locked
My problem is weirdly simple; the executable file, and just the executable file, won't download because steam says it's "Content Locked." I would love a reason why I'm suddonly not allowed to play the game I paid for?

''Try restarting your computer. Before uninstalling, try verifying your game files, it does the same thing as reinstalling, except it only redownloads the damaged files.''

''Your computer likely had a hung DBD process in the background and the restart cleared it. While that process is sitting there, invisible to you, your computer thinks the files are essentially "checked out" by that process.

More common than you think. I usually field a couple of those calls a week with other apps. You usually have to find the hung process (not app) in the task manager or restart the computer.''

I can't find how to post a screenshot to the discussion, the only links I find explain how to do it with the steam overlay

@ OP: the mouse cursor nexto your name in here clearly shows you own the game so ignore that guy and the screenshot request... strange issue though no idea how to solve it saidly. Ran the verify files check yet?

Steam verified that the exe file is indead missing, and won't download it because of the content lock.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

What nonsense is this...
First, JWE stop me from clicking any buttons ingame, neither with keyboard nor mouse and I had to shut the game down with the taskmanager.
And now the jwe.exe is missing and steam won't download it...

If your exe is missing then your anti-virus decided to be a PITA and nuked the exe. Might also stop you redownloading it because it is flagging the exe as a false positive (thinks it is a virus when it isn't). You should be able to tell the AV to leave jurassic world alone but the exact procedure to do so will depend on your AV.

Yes, I found it in the virus container a couple of hours ago.
I was also able to reinstall the game yesterday, but I had to deinstall and restart the pc first.
It's a bit weird...
