Your "early adopters" RTX is whats causing the problems. Until Nvidia (and game developers) update to compatible versions your going to be limited in what games are going to run stable with your new hardware.

Okay, I really hope this helps because the support for this game won't help you. I struggled with the same problem after buying it on sale and I finally found my issue. Go into task manager and end all tasks that have to do with nahimic audio. I did that and even with newest driver game booted up and runs perfectly!

Really? Because I have the exact same system as this guy, except with a 1080, and I have the exact same crash.

The solution that worked for me - which is ridiculous - is to downgrade from 417.35 to 398.11 (drivers that are 6mo old). This worked, although I'm on the verge of refunding so as not to reward this complete fudge of a solution.

i tried to downgrade to 398.11 but it wouldn't recognize my graphics card.
shutting down nahimic thing in the task manager worked.

I guess the problem wasn't the card but audio apps from msi.

https://www.msi.com/page/nahimic is this an optional software that gets installed via motherboard drivers?

also if u havent yet after installation please perform a verification of local game cache files. once this step is complete please completely and fully log out and close steam and then restart the client to ensure that the files have been reacquirred and applied. (this last step with the client is only if steam needs to reacquire files that fail to verify)

I'm not too sure. I just know one day it showed up on my PC and it's the only thing on here that installed without me knowing about it. Nahimic has caused me problems on a few games so I tried the fix i mentioned and it worked! Glad I could help!
