Annoying language issue

Ok I've been having this issue with Jurassic World Evolution since the game released and i've tried just about everything I can think of but nothing seems to work.

I own a Finnish keyboard and have been using it for a long time, however despite my steam account, game settings, computer language settings and keyboard settings being set to English, for some reason when playing Jurassic World evolution the game still displays the key names in Finnish, such as space bar and the arrow keys.

It's a minor annoyance and i've more or less ignored it for the 100+ hours i've invested in the game but I really want to get rid of it.. I just don't know how or why it's happening.

If anyone else has had this issue and knows how to fix it I'd love to know because I am at a total loss lol

mine is in french too cuz i have apparently a french keyboard (even though i do not speak that language)... i cannot change the language settings for the game anywhere and i do not know what button is meant with some of the french words shown T_T !! i am dutch btw, but i preffer EVERYTHING in english period.

That's funny because "Stephanie" is a common name in French Canada (Quebec). Do you have Windows 10? I could help you with that. (Any other OS would do...)

Yeah that's my same problem with the Finnish keys.. I couldn't understand which words mean what key.. had to work it out for myself through trail and error xD

It seems to be a keyboard reading issue more than anything, I assume you also have a gaming keyboard?
Mines a Corsair K55, everything set in English both on my steam account and my Windows and keyboard settings.
Maybe the game is reading the default language settings on the keyboard or perhaps the users location or something like that..
Even when I set the computer to register a UK or U.S keyboard layout the game still reads the keys in Finnish.

Same issue here, I also have it in Planet Zoo (doesn't happen in any other/non-Frontier games). I'm Dutch/Flemish and have a Flemish AZERTY-keyboard (slightly different from a French one). Did you ever figure it out?

Same issue, how is that even possible?
I live in Canada with an English only keyboard yet the game recognizes it as a French keyboard?
Was the team smoking pot while making this game?

I am in same shoes of you guys. I just did not pay attention to it. Apparently the game looks to the input language of the OS.

Perhaps this can be fixed by going to your windows Settings -> Time & language -> Language -> "Preferred language", click on a language -> click "Options" -> Keyboards. You can add an INTL based keyboard one (be aware of the differences) and once the game got launched, you can switch keyboard language with Ctrl+shift or left alt + shift (depends of settings) ingame. Yet it is silly.

Doesn't work for me, I have my PC set to English UK with Finnish Keyboard.

Needs to be set this way or all my keys are screwed up and in the wrong place if the PC is set to recognise a British or American Keyboard.
Makes typing a nightmare.
