ESC key not working

From 24 june, the esc key was not working. I thought it would be temporary but it was not. I thought that loading an old save file would fix it but it didnt and the auto save switched from my last mission on isla tacano to the old save file which is still isla tacano. Tell me what to do to fix my esc button and i tried shift-esc. (RIP cool gyrosphere exhibit)

It happened to me once. I switched to another island. Then the "Esc" went again.

Have you tried rebinding Esc to something else? Go to Settings in the main menu, then Controls, Mouse & Keyboard, and it should be at the very top.

It worked again after I switched the Island.
