It would be cool to make our own hybrids.
I was just thinking it is a cool idea to have something like the research center but for hybrids so when we have a complete genome we can splice it with other genomes to make new dinosaurs.

What do you guys think? Devs?

I think there are a good amount of dinos at the moment. I feel like there are alot of quality of life fixes and more indepth gameplay that can be implemented before talking about something like this. I would like to see flying/water dinos before this aswell.

I agree more in depth gameplay and dinosaur AI than anything else is what matters. if that is all the future content consists of, I'd be fine with that instead of anymore creatures at all.

I think we are lucky that we got all the skins for the Dinosaurs! You know how much of a undertaking that is the time and money the modeling and programing! If they did say yeah we want to do this then they would make another game.

No. Terrible idea. If they were to add any other hybrids there are only 3 possible ones, Stegoceratops and the two unnamed hybrids from the monitor in the Jurassic World lab.
I'm sorry but I think it's incredibly dumb. Hybrids in Jurassic World aren't just crossbred dinosaurs that look cooler than regular dinosaurs (or worse, depending on how you look at it). They're much more than that. They're meant to be damnations of nature itself, creatures that seem unnatural to their very core and whose very existance should immedietly raise the stakes.

This is why Indominus and Indoraptor work in particular. Other cases of hybrids done, such as Chaos Effect and Jurassic World: The Game, have taken the hybrid concept and absolutely ran it into the ground by doing exactly what ur suggesting: making a shiload of creatures that seem like regular dinosaurs but just look wierd and/or cool. Their creations are incredibly insulting and asking for essentially that but more in this game would be an awful idea imo.

Sorry if I came off as such an ass, but I needed to say this.

I mean yeah but this can also work to increase the games lifetime, once you are finished with the game and have nothing else to do on isla nublar maybe you can make your own dinos ( with some limitation) of course this will probably be hard to code and design every skin so maybe make it limitate only some dinos can be with other dinos.

I honestly dont think this will ever happen (due to it being a liscenced game and lack of mod suppoet) but i think it will be cool and bring more time to the hours you spent playing the game.

And its ok you didnt come up "like and ass" its your opinion and its valid.

Yeah designing the combination will take a while maybe make it so only some dinosours can be with others that are compatible, that way it brings down the variety.

Meh, I'd rather add some well-aging dino's genes to one that doesn't age that well, so I don't have to hatch a new one or several new ones every hour.
Let it decrease the attack stat, heck, even let it decrease the rating, I don't care, replacing dinos is annoying, especially when they have a high social need and break out when there aren't enough "buddies" for a few minutes.

"B-but why do you even have them?"
Because only having a T-Rex with some Raptors and a Spinosaurus is boring.

Devs don't read stuff here, they use their own forum, hence the sticky'd thread.

Of course I would also like to see more dinos in the future like the ones we see in the movies (air and water dinos) but maybe this can be made after that so it brings like a personal touch to your park making your creation unique.

I would rather them just add more of the hybrids from the other JW games. Making your own would be impossible to add or rather too much to add. I would like to see more hybrids like the stegoceratops and others that are in the other Jurassic world games. I definitely want a hybrid like stegoceratops that is a powerful herbivore hybrid that would actually have a chance against the Indominous.

I'm curious if you can make Blue?
Dana. Jun 27, 2018 @ 6:30pm
Please no. Jurassic Park is no place for ugly frankenstein monsters. You can ask any other no-name dinosaur game to do that. Like ARK or so.

But they are all frankenstein monsters...

Yeah but technically they're all frankenstein's monsters though. Hell even the Spino from JP3 is said to have been a hybrid. Stop making out that the dinos in JP are all pure when they're not.

Universal won't allow it

This isn't Frontier's own Original IP. Everything they do has to be approved by someone from Universal

Just look at the mess behind the scenes from that Single Player Star Wars game EA has been trying to develop

Every single change to a character's costume even if it was just a simple color change took days if not weeks to be approved at Lucasfilm

I highly doubt Universal will ever allow something like this

While I doubt it's anywhere near as severe at Universal I imagine they still have many justified restrictions
