If you already completed missions, you won't need to do them again, and if you already completed researches, you won't need to research them either.
Have reset 1 island (before I read one of the posts above about manually deleting everything doh!) and thought I would have an issue releasing a dino with version 2.0 bone density genome, I had already reseatched 3.0 or 4.0 and thought it would be a problem but it was fine. Out of interest is there any way to select an older version of a genone? Cursor keys just scroll up and down throught the list and the left & right just scroll through the tabs of genomes on the top of the screen.
I too would like an answer to the research percentage as I sometimes get contracts offered asking for a lower level than I've already researched.
Any missions can be replayed without restarting the island. Where as Contracts are just random.
Just make a Trike with 60% or more DNA and the mission moves on to the next step.
BTW if you abandoned it you need to restart it from mission page.
It does not take anything you dug up... So if you dig up and save a bunch of the 200K and higher value fossils then you can sell them after resetting to get extra money back right away.
