Dinosaur behavior worse then JPOG and general thoughts.

First of all I'm a big JPOG and in general paleontology fan.

So far I really like the game.

What's really disturbing me is the lack of dino-behavior compared to JPOG.

Dinos in JWE can:
-Eat/kill everything
-Drink
-Socialise
-Panic
-Fight
-Run around

And that's it.

Dinos in JPOG can:
^do the same
+Fight for Alpha status
+Move in herds
+Sleep
+Eat only when hungry
+Attack Jeeps

If we consider how old JPOG is, it's hard to understand why such a modern game like JWE can't do the same.

Now, as Park building isn't as sophisticated as in other titles of the genre, the focus MUST be on the Dinosaurs.

Me personally enjoyed watching dinos go do their stuff in JPOG a lot more. In JWE I get bored watching them rather fast, because they don't really do much at all.

Imagin, two Pachy's clashing their heads together, a Spino and a T-Rex fighting for domination in an enclosure... Instead we get a Pokemon-Battle between the two. Attack -> Minus health -> Attack -> Minus health -> one goes down.

The game feels to me as if it lacks a lot of depth. The base is solid, I just want... more.

I think all of that stuff might be coming to the game. If you watch the gameplay trailers You can see dinosaurs in a herd, dinosaurs napping, and Pachycephalosaurs butting heads. I don't know why that stuff wasn't added at launch though,...

Now the team are working on animations for the dinos I am sure we will get more and more awesome things in this game just be patient. It is only because I think they didinot have enough time for the release as the same time as fallen kingdom thats all. After fixes they will make water and flying reptiles

JPOG style hunting would be cool, then these turn-based battles could simply act as even more advanced versions of the JPOG death duels.

actually I didn't think they would add much of that stuff or AI improvements, I was expecting them to if anything go for the water/flyers because everyone seems to ask for that. But I could care less about extra animals if they just do all those fixes.

Blame universal, they forced quick release for fallen kingdom, and there was also no jeep destruction allowed.

The game had rushed deadline with Fallen Kingdom. They will improve the AI just give them time my friend :)

i'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that they had to rush the game for the movie release and didn't have the time to add all this stuff

but the movie is out and now it's time for updates and improvements... we're waiting

the devs need to get the work

A lot of the behaviours were cut from launch. This is frontier. We will see them in a free update once they are happy with them.

Who was talking about a DLC? Those things will be normal updates which enhance the animations and behavior of the dinos. Not everything has to be a DLC lol.
