Paddock Planning and Compatibility
I didn't see another thread that had any combined info or a document you could look at. I have made an excel document and shared on one drive. I am looking for feedback. This is first time I have ever done this for a game and want to know if anyone wants it.

Link to One Drive Shared Public excel doc. You have to download to use. Instructions are on the sheet.

Feedback would be appreciated.

It is pretty automated. I think I worked out all the bugs but if you find any please let me know.

There's actually a big reddit thread doing this. As well as comfort needs and such. Here's a link if you'd like to check it out https://old.reddit.com/r/jurassicworldevo/comments/8sffos/probable_compatibility_chart/

Thanks man, this is really helpful.

I have used some info from Reddit sites like that, ended up using the sandbox and about 10 hours of fighting dinos. The paddock planner part is what I couldn't find anywhere. I like to plan out a little before I go at it. Thank You for the link though.

i made a guide that covers population needs / social needs and such as well, for those that don't want to go off steam

Awesome, I had actually looked at that when I created the spreadsheet. Checked them all out one by one and you were spot on.

Jynn, do you mind if I put your link on my spread sheet in case people want to see the pics and data the way you have it.

thanks all for the links

THis is a great document and I can see you put loads of work into it. Thank You for your hard work and dedication to the community. I do have some small suggestions. First (and most important to me) full names of the dino in the Listing. I am not a dino expert and trying to link the abberv. to the full name is tough especially when looking through long charts. Your use of Excel and the many features of it are great, could it be possible to test for compatibility immediately while building the Paddock residents? This would help greatly as it would give you a quick look as you decided who will live where.
Question: For the compatibilty sheet, you first find the dino in the left column and then met from the top down? For example I was trying to see if Huay was compatibile with Cory and Ed. However when I went across from Huay and down from Cory or Ed, I ended up in the white zone. Am I just simply doing it wrong?
Final Question: How is the heck do we build the Paddocks with the requirements shown? Meaning how can I precisely make a paddock that is 21,700 sq meters, with 11300 Forest and 10400 grassland?

Thanks again for your great work

I cannot seem to get this to work. Handy info but I always get a "view only" message when I try to enter anything in the two columns I'm allowed to change. Also, when saved and opened in Excel, The formulas don't seem to work. What am I doing wrong?

For a long time I was running a Site B style map on the standard Nublar map. I had a number of species including Pentaceratops(I think 5 of em), Giganotosaurus(2) and Majungasaurus(1) all over the island. Somehow I managed to edit their stats so that they'd be in a constant state of battle, as in no armored herbivore or carnivore could actually kill the other. Once both their health bars hit the red portion they just disengaged and the carnivores would instead hunt the small and medium herbivores scattered around the area. Eventually they'd go back to fighting, but by that time they're back to 100% health and the cycle would repeat. Since then I've lost the save but I think this is still possible. Anyone know if there's a spreadsheet out there that has dino statistics and the necessary values to achieve this kind of stability?
