Dinosaurs keep escaping
Is there a key to keep your dinosaurs happy enough that they don't try to escape? I give them a large enclosure with wooded areas and access to water surrounded by a concrete wall but most species will break down the wall and escape. Do I need an electric fence? Will a small electric fence work better than a concrete wall?

The only thing I've had a problem with so far in terms of dino happiness is directly related to keeping confrontational animals in the same enclosures. As long as your enclosure is large enough (but not too large, for dinos that like their friends close) you can almost ignore forest/plains ratios as long as you have enough of each.

Sauropods, even if they're too big for the carnivores that are kept with them to attack, can still be panicked by them, keeping them out of the environment that they prefer, or keeping them away from food/water sources, so beware of that. If you've got large and small carnivores in the same enclosure, they can be similarly affected, though this seems to be mostly ignorable by having enough goat feeders.

A lot of the medium-sized dinos have somewhat strict population requirements, and won't be happy unless they've got a large number of sisters, others can only handle a certain total population for the enclosure and get upset if you go over that amount.

Most dinos get upset in bad weather, and a number of sauropods consume from ground feeders instead of tall feeders even if they have long necks.

If you're getting breakouts, it's probably for one of those reasons. You can finesse most of the dinosaurs into staying in an un-electrified chain link fence if you're careful about it.

Keep an eye on the dino’s social and population needs - if there are two few or too many, then they’ll get upset and escape.
The slightly more complicated aspect is their grassland and forest requirements. Imagine each dino has a circle of influence - they need to “see” the right amount of forest and grassland around them at all times. I’ve thought I’ve created a perfect mix for my dinos only to find that there is a particular area with not quite enough - when my dinos walk through that area, they’d get upset and... we’ll, you know the rest. The sauropods are particularly fussy about this.

I keep a wide variety of herbivores in the same large encolsure because the guests like that, I try to keep the canivores separate in their own enclosures.

check the comfort. if it is red then they eill escape. if they are raptors they do it for fun

A Ceratasaur in the Raptor pen seems to settle them down a bit and stop the random breakouts

Also note that the sauropod comfort mechanic is broken at the moment (esp. for Mamenchisaurus) = they have a huge forest requirement, but if they walk close to a fence, they perceive this as being not surrounded by trees regardless of the state of their enclosure and go berserk.

If you must have sauropods, keep feeders and water supply away from the sides of your enclosure, until Frontier fixes this.
