How to unlock gyrosphere?

Hi, can anyone point me towards a clear, concise guide to unlocking the gyrophere? I googled it and checked youtube, but none of the answers explained it very well.

Mostly they say to increase your entertainment rep on Isla Tacano. I've already maxed that twice on two different play-throughs.

you need to complete all the entertainment missions on previous islands

Gyropshere- complete the security missions on the pervious islands, then begin the Isla Tacano and start completing all the security mission on this island. when you complete the last security mission you will get access to the Gyrosphere station.

Is it entertainment or security or both?

And when people say to complete all of the missions, what does that mean exactly? The missions keep coming, so you can never really complete them all.

Just Security missions, and you have to complete the Security missions on all islands up till and includeing Tacano I beleive.

sorry, this is probably a dumb question... but how do you start missions? Is it just random?

you need to complete the previous island missions then earn enough rep to unlock the mission.

the key was: I hadn't completed missions on previous islands. I didn't even realize missions and contracts were different things. For anyone reading this with the same question... go back to all of the previous islands and work up your reputation with each of the 3 factions until they give you a mission. This happens automatically once your rep with them is high enough. Complete all 3 missions on each island in order to unlock pretty much everything.
