Make your own dinosaur?

Quick question.

Can you customise your dinosaurs in any way or are they all acquired as part of a list of available dinosaurs? I've seen there is a list of 40 announced but the description about making your unique dinosaurs with unique traits and behaviours make it sound like you can make your own variations by splicing dna or something.

Yes and No. You can splice the DNA of dinosaurs creating some pallet swaps and some stat bonuses as well as some named cross-breeds, such as Indominous Rex. But all of the dinosaurs are on a list, there will not be any T-Rex/Tricaritop humuncli.

i wish, i would cross breed brachiosaurus and T-rex. But for now stat changes and color has to do.

Supposedly you can use genetics for cosmetic, which was one of the things I was happiest to hear because JW dinos are so drab looking.

I don't know how that's going to work because you would think that would have shown up in photos though, showing different dinosaur coloration.

making own Hybrids would require them to make models upon a variety of almost 2000 creatures that the player would be able to mix between and unlock when meeting the required dinosaurs. just from an developer aspect this is insanity to make in that short amount of time.

Apparently you can use genetic dna from other animals such as an ibex, or a great white that modifes certain traits for it, such as attack, lifespan,resilence,etc... And at this point I'm sure we are going to get the indominus and indoraptor as the hyprids.

I wish the game had a feature like the game impossible creatures. I would play more with dna and cloning.

I'm just happy we can name them and change their skins... Will go a long way in small details to help customize our parks.
