Looks like a remake/spirtual sequel of Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis

My childhood consisted of jurassic park on the ps2 so this game better be good. The trailers make it seem like they have most of the same gameplay features as the old one. I hope it's not just a copy paste of the old gameplay with a new coat of paint though.

Nah Jurassic Park has evolved into Jurassic World so no they would never call it JP:OG HD or JPOG2 or anything "Jurassic Park" for that matter. Remake, sequel, spiritual successor. This IS the next JPSim game and the inspirations from the first game are clearly there. People argue about the dumbest ♥♥♥♥.

Well, I wouldn't call GTA 1-5 remakes since they still are the same genre but everything else is pretty much different. I mean, yeah in all games you play certain characters who can drive cars, bikes and all that stuff but that doesn't make them remakes. I mean Forza Horizon 3 is no remake of like The Crew or something like that. This is pretty much a complicated topic but yeah, I think you get what I was trying to say.

IT'S NOT A REMAKE...

Dude it's the same damn game just with newer graphics and a more up to date Engine. They're both about running a Dinosaur theme park micro managing uncovering new Dinos to make more attractions designing and building the pens and setting up security so the Dinos don't eat the guests.

And what I don't get is the anger to the observation. A Remake of an excellent game is far from a bad thing or unwanted.

Your reaction, it makes me think you'd throw a fit if they decided to remake GTA:SA, The Twisted Metal Games, City of Heros, etc.

Operation Gensis was a great game. It was made years and years ago. So yeah a remake of it is more then merited and Welcome.

I mean, technically he said remake OR spiritual successor. I wouldn't call this a remake personally, but it is absolutely a spiritual successor. The definition of. Just like Planet Coaster is the spiritual successor of Rollercoaster Tycoon 3.

Just no. This is not a remake. You could call it a spiritual successor as that is the closest definition that can be used because 1. As I stated before it is not a remake. And 2. It's not a direct sequel either since the original devs are long gone. For instance it was said that Bioshock was basically a spiritual successor to Systemshock, but not a direct sequel because they didn't have the rights to Systemshock. While the licensing here is a bit different as it's still a Universal license, but ultimately they can't call it a sequel.

Man you guys are desperate, damn. I call this a remake and the majority does call it a remake as well since it's pretty obvious this is pretty much the game from back in the days but just enhanced. You do you man but still a remake for me.

Btw Ace Kitty. Just because you use caps doesn't make your argument more valid. Some guys even share their knowledge and ideas wether this should be called a remake or not but you are simply giving stupid reasons and just saying no since it makes no sense. This has been a fun thread. I'm in the remake corner. Heck it's even in the titles. The first was "Jurassic Park Genesis" meaning begining to "Jurassic World Evolution" which means the gradual developement from a simple to a more complex form. The fact that they are both theme park management games makes this a remake of the older one.

Now if this game were "Jurassic World:Evolution Hunting Reserve" that relied heavy on FPS action. Then I would say it might be different enough to argue about.

Its technically called a spin off, just like the movies. Its not jp its jw. it's the same gameplay, same buildings, similar mechanics. The whole genetic material from fussils etc the only thing that I've seen that its new. Is the hybrids and the graphics. At the end of the day I still have it in my library. Weather or not you called it a spin off, remake, spiritual successor or whole new chalupa.
