Can you build a park without enclosures?
Instead of fencing in the dinos you fence the visitors and have the dinos roam free?

Hm, nice idea. I haven't tried it, but I will.
Maybe it works ;D

You can, but you wont earn any money

I only read the title, sorry.
YES, you could just fence up where the visitors can roam and leave the dinos to it, however again, the carnos will just eviserate your herbos. The devs talked about have social interactions and things, but there really isnt much, its pretty much just, herbos live together but get pissed if theres too many of them, and carnos eat and eat and eat and ...

If you do that, you will have Rex running around and killing people. So best to have a fence.

So the predators constantly attack and kill even if their not hungry?
And I assume the dinos can't reproduce asexually like in the movies?

They did in the first movie at least, however that was due to the frog DNA because some types of frog can spontaneously change their sex. Didn't you watch the original movie?

Not constantly but eventually they will always seem to try and erase their competition. They don't always have fights to death though. I've seen a ceratosaurus fight against another carnivore and the fight ended non-lethal and both ignored each other for a while after the fight.

But yeah mostly they will attack. I mean try putting a goat in an enclosure with Lions. They will eventually hunt and kill it.

Possible to do, but you will earn a lot less money since you have to keep structures to a minimum in order to maximize the size of the enclosures. Also you can't really mix carnivores as those would kill each other and attack the herbivores - and get killed in the process, meaning you have to invest even more money to keep the populations up. So, possible, yes, but not money efficient.

It is possible, I did this on the last Island where you already start with free roaming dinos.
If you make the island a big pen and only fence up the walkways and shops, you still can build watchtowers and earn lots of money. I had around 60 dinos spread all over the Island and used several Gyro stations to bring the visitors closer to the dinos.

Ofc Rex and Spino aren't friends, but if you place them on different sides of the island and keep feeding them, most of your big herbs are completly safe and they live really good together.

That's really cool.

They didn't reproduce asexually, some of the dinos sexes changed because of that frog gene.

Meaning there were males and females instead of just females.

Well Isla Sorna already starts out with hordes of Stegos running free across the Island with the Spinosaurus hunting them every so often

So you can add on there if you want to
