Glad I didn't jump on This Game!
After reading reviews i am glad i didn't jump on this at release and purchase it, I am learning.
Plus the game seems way to over priced and it seems it was set at a high price knowing so many people wanted to play and they would just purchase it regardless upon release. For those of you who are uphappy next time wait a few days or so and review discussion and reviews left. I would consider purchasing the game for like $14.00, $54.00 is a kick in the D^*k

hmm mediocre and not worth the price tag is the common theme I am hearing must be people in the pocket of a certain other game that was selling at $40ish same price I preordered this for, that has since its EA launch been unable to be played. We have a AAA title a true succesor to Operation Genisis and the level of deatail and stratagey involved is far more than I was expecting. It seems that those that knew what they were buying seem to love it those that thought it was something other than a park managment game seem to be the ones that gripe about it. Honestly I wonder what they thought they were buying

Shallow as all hell, lacks replayability, and is horrendously repetitive. And the level of freedom is terrible.

The game is average as average can be. Feels like they ported a mobile game to PC.

Sorry to say but thats not what a medicore game is. A mediocre game nowhere near has the quality and the content this game has. You can say this game lacks the depth and it has low replayability and that its repetitive thats fine thats your optinion but is probably because your optinion is based on others and watching videos . This game have depth but in departments you might missed in these gameplay streams and its too early to talk about replay value when the majority couldn't even complete half of its content yet once .
"this game has depth you just have to look hard for it"
Lol sounds great

I ended up playing this game for 5 hours straight last night. It really does achieve what it sets out to do. Some people don't like the repetituous gameplay that comes with park styled tycoon genres, period... that's fine. This game is finally an opportunity to create the dinosaur parks we have wanted to create, and despite some issues (which I'm hopeful will be patched / modded in the future - i.e. day/night cycles, more buildings, greater park customisation and better power utilisation by getting rid of the pylons for something more expensive but effective), it is an awesome game which I will be playing for many months to come. 8.5/10 for me based on what I've played so far. Given that I've pumped at least 5 hours into it and will surely pump much more into it, the price at this point is an afterthought.

im shocked dude lol

oh yeah all the dlc brings is more dinosaurs

not a single complaint of why it wasnt already included in a game

Yah i agree, like i said it seems as though the developers are more focused on the Brand Name and are looking to cash in on the movies reputation and didn't put a lot of work into this. I mean i understand people are liking it and that's great but i agree they charge $54 and then don't even add all the Dinos and expect people to shell out more cash upon the release day, come on. I would understand if they didn't have the time to and then released a patch say two or three months down the road for DLC other then Dinosaurs, i mean dinosaurs are what the game is focused on why are they charging to access more dinos on the release date, if they were ready they should have been incorperated into the game upon release. Like i said i see through all this and yes the game might not be to bad and if people are enjoying it that's great but i see this release as money focused and a money pit that is uising the Brand name to try and line their pockets a little deeper, not happening i won't even purchase it now seeing they are doing stuff like this, it's just greedy and taking advantage of people. When i posted this thread i was just trying to alert people and open their eyes and if they want to toss away their money there is nothing i can do about that. I play Ark Survival and out of all the Dinosaur games i have played ARK is by far the best and it is a fraction of the price with a ton of free content.

Why do I care if you bought the game? I'm enjoying it. Also, why do people like you always have a private profile? What are you playing that is so worthy of your time?

I didn't buy the game. I play many games and i keep my profile private so i don't get every Tom ♥♥♥♥ and Harry sending me friends invites just because i play the same games, which use to happen all the time. As far as the games i play many different games and i was looking forward to this one but after reviewing the reviews and seeing what people are saying I understand it's not all it was hyped up to be. The best Dinosaur game to date is ARK Survival Evolved, it blows every Dino game away that's why i was looking forward to playing this but now i see what it really is it just doesn't measure up so no sense in purchasing this it's a step backwards. If your enjoying i am glad, was just looking to get input from people playing that liked the game and the ones that didn't like it and why so i can better understand what the game is like. If you bought a car or a house you would shop around and test different cars and visit different homes prior to purchase, that's what i am doing here, picking people's brains to see what is what with this game. Based on what your getting i just honestly feel it's not worth the $54 dollars, and that is based like i said on playing other games and the content that is provided.

This is what puzzles me. People say they read the reviews, well the reviews are very positive. So how does over 80% positive make you somehow not buy the game from what the reviews say....

i guess im a penny pincher, but no game is worth 60 bucks to me, I just ignore all of them until they are older and cheaper lol. this was different I didn't want to wait so I coughed up the money.

Because you have to read the ones that are not positive and based on what they are saying and many many of them all tell the same story and based on what i read this game might be cool and i am glad people are enjoying it don't get me wrong but, after playing better games, seeing the price and knowing it's a simulation game and not an open sand box and the fact they are pushing DLC upon release, stuff that should have been part of the release you come to understand your paying way to much and the game is over priced for what you are getting and that is because your paying extra for the Brand Name, it's all hype prior to the movie release and i honestly believe people are being taken advantage.

So example, i play ARK Survival Evolved for years now, it's an amazing Dino game, probably the best to date. You have to survive, gather food and resources, build and design your own structures one pcs at a time all while not getting killed by Dinos. And you can farm, fish, tame dinos for use of riding or flying, it's really an amazing game at a fraction of the price and always updating with new free content. So what's my point, my point is if you like Dino games such as me, were looking forward to something new that offered more and then saw what this game really was it was a big let down and after experiencing something better one wonders why the game is so overly priced when i can get so much more some where else for a fraction of the price. One should not pay more to get less, that's all i am not promoting anything else just using as an axample. I am a longtime gammer been playing sense the 1970's when all the games started, played most everything and i can tell it's over priced and under developed, if it was lower in price i would consider it. I just wanted to see what others thought about the game play, not be attacked just because others might not agree with my opinion.

I am glad i didn't purchase, it looks like a disapointment to me after all the wating based on the price. If others are playing what is their opinion good or bad, what do you like about it what don't you like about it and do you think it is worth the buy.

See that's cool, like i posted in my last message to some one else, i posted this thread to find out what others thought shortly after release. I didn't post this so some people that did purchase it would come here and insult and attack me just because I don't agree with their opinion. I very rarely purchase a game upton release, maybe once just recently and it was a mistake.

I am usually the same way, i wait, don't rush in and review and then make the call. Thanks for replying with an honest opinion, not insulting me and calling me a Troll :) It was nice to read your reply.

Comparing to Ark...wtf....lol

As for cost - again wtf - i remeber paying $30-$40-$50 for c64 games back in the fekking 80's, then onto the 90's and various x86's $60-$80 was about the norm etc - and given how much more wages have incresed since then, I mean, you shoud try my other hobbies - holy fukballs gaming has never really been as cheap.

They need to learn from paradox. Sell the game for 39.99 because we all know they will release paid content in the future. 55 dollars is too steep for this, i agree.

No1 is forcing anyone to buy it so how are ppl being taken advantage of ?

Money means differet things to different ppl, i paid the $60 and havent even played it yet.I'll buy all the DLC's and still might never play it. Im just not in the mood tgh.

I put over 1000 hours into ARK and with a decent base and several dinos its more of a job than a game. A friend in my tribe once stayed on libe 14 hours straight to tame a bronto i think............. thats not a game thats torture.

There is sandbox, the last biggest island. I watched the dev build and the dev stream a few days ago and am satisfied thye will add/fix/offer many more things to the game just like PC.

" overpriced " for you maybe and thats fine but the game isnt overpriced your just under funded.

The original DLC was $5.......... it cost me that much in diesel fuel every morning just to warm up my truck and i live in So Cal.

I totally disagee but have no problem with your opinion but saying the game is overpriced just isnt fair as they spent tremendous amounts of money for the IP and to develop the game.

If your a long time gamer you know if ppl dont buy games, games cant be offered. You want a big epic game you have to be willing to support the devs that think that big and try to make/offer epic games.

I guess being frugle is ok but if $60 is alot of money there might be something else to think about here. Some ppl here arent fans and just see the $ amount and lose thier ♥♥♥♥ cuz the only buy average games for average money and throw shade at anything they wouldnt ever buy anyway.
