Selling Dinosaurs - How To Guide

It's been brought up by a few people who are having the same problem. There is NO 'obvious' option to sell the dinos. Tranq *tick*, select transport *tick*, select dino *tick*, and then stare at the screen for a sign hope until your heart flatlines. The infuriating design of this selling system is indescribably sickening.

Any step by step guide (pref with screenshots) of this twaddle-filled system would help many.

May God have mercy on whoever designed this..

Update:
After progressing through 4 islands and 11 hours gametime it finally works, the 'bug' is probably still affecting some people, but by terminating the missions that require you to sell dinosaurs and waiting until you're further on in the game will make it easier.

So.. Turns out.. When I sell my dinos, it infact KILLS them.. Then transports their corpses away. Just when I thought this bug couldn't get any more jizzed up lol

You probably have to progress far enough in the main mission. (I sold them on the first island no problem, but I didn't think about it in the beginning)
AND you have to mark them first, then press R (on PC).
Not just hover over them and press R.

I sell sick ones in the beginning if I don't have the tech for their disease, but selling dino's are a waste of money. As John said, the return is pathetic.

Look in the lower left corner.
Note this is where I am selecting the distination for the Dino, eg. I already selected it. I'm not just hovering my mouse over the dino and pressing R.

Remember though, this is Island 2 (and I'm story wise on island 3) - so I'm not 100% sure this option is available in the beginning of island 1.

There's a button at the bottom of the screen when you select a dino to transport.

When you have the tranqed dinosaur selected for transport, thats when the red flare is lying next to your sleeping dinosaur, you just press "R" to sell them. Not sure which button it is on the controller but my best guess would be "X".

If you done it right there should be a window pop up asking you to confirm.

It could have been a little more obvious to be honest.

For many this option hasn't appeared even when knowing it should appear at the bottom left of the screen. Most likely a bug, but has fixed itself for some after progressing through the islands.

Oh. Well.
It may be a bug but the option to sell dinosaurs might as well be locked until you reach island 2 for the first time.
That would be the only valid progression reason i could think of even though they did a poor job communicating this to the player.

Glad you got it working, but yeah right, its a very flawed way to go about it XD Would have thought that they might have anticipated that!

I have this problem also. I havent sold a dino before but I'm on the 2nd island and have a quest to sell one. I trank it and go to pick it up and theres no option to sell it. I reloaded the game and nothing. I moved to the first island and tried the same thing and there I DO have an option to sell my dinos. I went back to the 2nd island with the quest and no option to sell. I quit the quest, still no option, I restarted the game after I quit the quest and still no option. I basically cant sell any dinos on the 2nd island.

It's definitely a bug. It'll get fixed soon hopefully.

haha yeah right. Seems to be working for me now!

I feel bad for cheating, but I just wanna unlock all the islands without running out of money n stuff, if anyone else is interested - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ZN_VGc6EHw - That is a youtube video to show you how to use cheats (the cheat link is in the description) just if anyone is interested! Its reeeeeeeeally easy and incredibly helpful. Also its totally safe, i have used it. I have 2 saves, one for the cheating just so I can unlock sandbox quickly, and one to do it the way its supposed to be done :D

It wont get you a VAC ban or anything since its not multiplayer, that only happens if you cheat against real people in competitive games. Single player games are all good! its just the same as typing in BIGDADDY on the old age of empires really. If anyone should choose to use it, enjoy! :P

You have to lay down the flare first after tranq then the option comes up to sell.
After the dino is tranq, click on it to bring out the transport to move it. That is when you see the option to sell.
