To be very general, this game is a better management game. It includes a lot more depth and possible strategy than what was available to you in JPOG. In addition, more building options (such as fences) and dinosaur options are available here than what was available in JPOG adding to the management aspect. With the addition of genetics, dinosaur customization is more advanced here than in JPOG, as well. While the game may lack certain features, such as the ability to view guest emotions individually, the management tools make up for this by allowing you to review this information more effectively over a broad scope.
Now with that being said, JPOG has vastly superior Dinosaur AI. If you only care about watching how dinosaurs interact with each you will probably be a little disappointed. However, rating each of the games’ features neutrally obviously reveals that JPEVO is a superior product overall. Now which one you will have more fun with is up to your personal preferences.
Dude, elaborate lol
Your reply is reasuring, thanks for elaborating.
But you are wrong when you say there was no pack mentality in JPOG.
Raptors in JPOG hunted in packs, attacked together, and ate together.

Herbivores of the same and or certain species moved together, drank water near a lake together, and slept together.

It was not. This feature was also on the console version of the game.
I recommend you replay JPOG and reassess your thoughts on the game.
No guest interaction, I was amazed I could just ask 20-25$ for a 4$ dish and profit would just keep going up. As if the guests have no qualms being extorted out of their money. In JPOG I usually just upped the price by 2-4 from what it cost me. Otherwise I'd have complaint after complaint.
I didn't even feel any connection to my guests. In JPOG when there's a guest with a complaint I'm actually annoyed but here's just...Meh. Who cares if Mr. and Ms. Namelss get eaten by a dinosaur. But Craig the Dinogeek with his balloon? Dam...
Camera is rubbish as well, buttons seems to stick for some weird reason. You just tap A and it just sticks. Same with wanting to put buildings down, it just runs around in circles till you hit the button again. Other times it's just...not responding to mouse input.
Tutorial is annoying, anytime someone is talking you can't interact with buildings and in obvious gaming, they start talking right when you want to interact with something.
Research and fossil hunt are just...hardly noticeable when finished. Atleast in JPOG you were reminded that fossil teams were standing idly by or that you haven't put in a new thing for research.
Placing buildings down is just...atrocious, hardly any room for it even when you flatten the ground. Seems also there's a limit to the space you can actually use aside from what is shown.
Not being able to skip all the hatchings and having to manually hatch them feels a bit...over the top and forced. I rather just queue them up and have them walk out when they're ready then to forget about it, only to realise my dinosaur still hasn't shown up and manually releasing it.
It's slow, with no way of speeding it up which would make the game feel more....alive. You get messages from those division heads and such but they're just pointless messages. I did get a few financial messages which was ok but there's hardly any data being given to you. You really have to dig for it.
Buttons are just....hardly responsive at times.
Jeep driving is just okay I suppose.
Dino's look nice though hardly any interaction between them.
Money is something you do have to be carefull with. If you start plonking buildings down you're gonna run out really quick.
Dino viability seems neatly balanced, atleast until you dump 3x30% viability increase on top of it. I've gone for 7 Struthiomimus and 3 of 'm died in the incubation period. Also lost 1 out of 4 Triceratops.
Research tree looks decent enough. Though I really had to struggle to find all the guest related tech.
About the humans, they are here only for get eat right now, they dont really seem.... idk alive ? There is not enaugh attraction compared to JPOG again. There AI seem too pretty bad, like the dinos, i see a groupe of human run in a rex that didn't move and they all die because they touched the feet of the rex, but the rex didn't move, it was eatin an human, wtf massive suicide ?
A cerato can kill a Rex or even an Indo or Spino.
The Rex is the more big carni ( with Indominus ) while the poor Gigas and Spinos are more small than the Rex, the Giga should be as big as the Rex and the Spino should be more big ( well apparently they say they will fix Spino size so )
Herbivore dont move in herd, for exemple the Gallis in JPOG moved in herds, followed an Alpha and there was interaction, like running around together, playing together. In JWE ? No herd, generaly the dinosaure moves but not together and sometime they socialise.
Carnivore dont have a pack systeme, like i say the raptors, in JPOG small carnivores of the same species hunted together, followed specialy an Alpha. In JWE, well they ignore each other if one start to hunt and there no Alpha apparently.
Another thing i found weird, dinos in JWE dont sleep unlike in JPOG.
Sorry but for momant i think JPOG is far better. But if they fix things in futur like a better AI then i will be really happy to buy this game. ( im gonna get so much hate urgh....also so sorry for my bad english i hope it's enaugh clear )
Still can you please elaborate more, this is 55 USD (without DLC) on the line here. I understand wanting to defend this game to the end but really it helps no one including this game, if we just pretend everything is fine nothing eill change. I atleast want to see this game to it's full potential
and saying that you can't compare the two is not very helpfull, the two games should practically be siblings atleast in My mind. Forgive me if i'm blunt but this game from what i can gather is quite lacking in alot of areas IE Missions, Visitor interaction, Ranger AI/ Inability to set as "Repet task commands", and Management of your park down to fine details (Not unlike JPOG). It feels like this is just another Zoo tycoon game with pretty dinosaurs and flashy lens flares, not the game both me and i believe alot of JPOG fans were hoping for. (._.)
