Time Control?
Is this a mobile game with waiting walls or is this tycoon game? Pause/Increase time speed? Will that ever be included or is this seriously going to have time waiting walls? I want a management game and I don't think thats what this is...

You must not have seen the videos or read anything about this.

This is literally a more-deep Dino Park Tycoon from the good 'ol days, but way better with gorgeous graphics. This is no mobile game.

what world do you live in where a mobile game costs 60 bucks :P. All joking aside there is very minor amounts of waiting when first starting on a new island unless you go back to a previous island to get fossils and save all the sellables, then go back to the first to get some money. Other than that you can stay pretty active in the game making enclosures, fine tuning layouts to make the most of the relatively small and compact maps, which are a plus imo others seem to disagree, and driving around in the jeep getting up close to your dino pals.

How are small, compact maps good? All that means is that you can't be as creative with your park layout and you can't fit all of your dinosaurs on one island...

Here is a challenge I would like to see fulfilled! Is there anyone who can fit every dino on 1 island? While we are making this challenge, the animals must be 100% comfort, and let's say, 90% viewable.

You know what, let's create a new thread for this.

I def would not say small maps are good for this type of game. Also I was being particularly salty earlier.... mixed with a combinaiton of fraustration with the bugs and expectations of Operation Genesis. I had gotten into a position where I was stagnated in terms of funding and doing anything for a while because I left the first island asap and botched all my money through reshaping the terrain thinking i still had money from the first ( that is my bad ). The second island was hell mainly for the bugs I ran into and still do. Now besides instant auto-fail missions ( not contracts) i have to contend with crashing on the third island every now and then.

The Sandbox map is huge. It's the original Jurassic Park Island, and it's massive and built for being as creative as you want, and yes, you can fit all dinos on it.

Same waiting that was in jpog. Small wait times for research and expeditions. If you increased time speed, oh boy would the chaos build up quick...

On the larger islands no problem. You can fit certain species together, like large carnivores, small carnivores and giant herbivores can go in 1 enclosure. Most herbivores tolerate a large population so you can fit many species in 1 enclosure. It's definitely doable on the 2 large maps. Obviously not on the small night map.

@WildDogs: Fitting every dino on one island is not realistic unless on the sandbox. Your best bet is going to be Morph's idea, but some of them need several around for their social needs. This tends to increase for later discoveries. Parasaurls & stegos, for example, require a pack of 4. If one dies or escapes, though, the other 3 will start losing comfort so redundancy is better with these (5 minimum) otherwise it's often easier to just tranq & sell the rest if you lose one. Incubation takes too long & the rest of the pack will freak out by the time you're done cooking another. As your packs increase, population overcrowding becomes an issue, preventing you from achieving this goal.

To get 5 stars and all the rep, it's actually easier to destroy & rebuild your pens to suit the needs of the mission rather than your dream park. Trying to keep a full park of dinos while doing the missions is just painful. Sell off 90% of your dinos & knock your park down to a 2-star before starting them, IMO. That way ACU & Rangers are always on hand & you're not trying to manage stars & missions at the same time. If you get your 5 star rating and then knock it down to a 2 star, you do not lose your island unlocks. I assume that's their way to implement island replayability.

PS. Your dino fossil stash is persistent between islands. Before starting a new one, save up 8-10 $360-$400k fossils but don't sell them. Go to the new island & sell them, which will give you a cool +$3M to start with.

That last tip is awesome, I never noticed that, but I noticed the ONLY thing that doesn't transfer to a new island (progression-wise, not buildings) is your cash, everything else transfers, and if you have the right buildings, anything you were working on on another island will continue (so if you have a Research Center and were researching something on another island, it will continue)
