There is more to the dinosaur needs than the two stats it shows you with a simple click. I have only had one fence broken so far and it was because of a contract. I have 2 ceratasaurs in an enclosure with a live food and standard feeder, appropriate amount of trees and grassland (water as well) and have had zero issues aside from my rangers getting chased while i was trying to take photos. My herbivore paddock has 2 trikes to edmontasaurs and 5 or 6 of the struthios with absolutely no issues. Im making 150k a minute on the first map with almost no problems probably because I payed attention and try to make my dinos happy. You need to make sure you have appropriate space, social and amounts of proper landscape for the dinos to maintain happiness.

Yep you want to look at tab 2 and check how many dinos they are happy with (population), and if they need mutliple of same spieces (social).
Then theres grassland to forest ratio.

For me it was Dracorex because you need at lest 2 Dracorex or they get angry. I did have 2 but one died so the other went on a rampage so I now decided they must be at lest 3 in a pen.

I had 5 Draco with 3 Trikes. Workes like a charm and it's a pretty good combo if you ask me.

I had the same problem... in my case it was my Dracorex breaking out every single time again.

Comfort was at zero, so as soon as i put it down on the ground, it started ramming the fence again.

Sold it and incubated a new one, comfort dropping fast, social in red. As soon as i incubated a second one problem solved.

Seems they only like to socialize with their own kind, doesn't matter how much other herbivores u got in your enclosure.

NEVER leave a Dracorex alone, put at least two of them in your herbivore enclosure. As soon as i incubated one, comfort started dropping very fast. I incubated a second one, and whola fixed. They only like their own kind :steamhappy:
Well not entirely true. They don't just like themselves. There are actually two stats. Social which is for the same type of dino and the population itself which is for the enclosure.

Ah ok, took me a while to figure out it was always the Dracorex and what was causing him to freak out. First it was kinda annoying all those fence breaking, now i figured out and solved it, it seems kinda funny. Really trail and error run here, can't wait to start with my next island tommorow. Think i build more then 1 large herbivore enclose this time.

They need to be put in their own pen. It took me 10 minutes to realize they were upset because the population was too high.

Yeah i just finished with the first island and did all missions, research, 100% genome, etc. My herbivore enclosure is huge. But i notice the disadvantages now. I won't be able to get more then 4,5 stars without rebuilding and making more seperate enclosures so i can use more dino's. For exemple i just put 2 Crichtonsaurus in the enclosure and i had to sell one other because it did hit max pop for them.

That is what I was afraid of. The game is not Frontier alone its a licensed franshise of Jurrassic World. The game must stay within Jurrasic World story guidelines, which means caos happens like in the movies. That is not a management game.

Same, I was like "Why are you guys breaking the fence so often! I have to pay for that!...what, you guys have to be seperate?...." and as soon as I put them into a different enclosure I got to 4 stars and unlocked Isla Nublar, so lesson learned, Dracorex like to be only with other Dracorex, otherwise they break-your-fence.
Sounds lovely that the dinossaur choose if he stays or no in his place. Ok I'm unhappy now I break this. No, I'm happy I decide to stay locked. Shouldn't that be your power not the animal?

Well one guy in this topic wrote he put him in a electric fence enclosure. I did not try and see what happens if u put 1 dracorex in it and it starts freaking out. Would it ram the electric fence 2? xD

The perfect solution is 5 Darcorex and 3 Triceratops. Balanced population and balanced social life. Works good for me.
