Another option but yields less is taking dino pictures.
Having shared funding between islands is like cheating considering the game is already easy profit-wise. No challenge at all if shared funding is added. There's already a shared inventory.
BTW. You could also research newly unlocked research items on your old islands instead of doing those in your new island.
Because once you have an actual billion dollars on an island (easy if you just leave the game open after 5-starring the island), it would make any other island trivial. The 3rd island has you starting bankrupt and requires you to sell buildings to continue. With shared funds, that's not necessary. Plus, it's really easy to make money in campaign. If you need to sell fossils, you've majorly ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up.
You need to have a powered Fossil Centre on the island you want to sell the fossils on though.
That is the only requirement.
You can do it as much as you like as well.
Move to new island, build Fossil Centre, sell fossils from previous island.. go back to previous island, replenish fossil stock and do it again.. and again.. and again.. as often as you like.
Once you visit a new island and build another Excavation Centre and Research Centre too you'll unlock all the new dig sites for that island as well as all the new research options so you can return to a previous island and use the profits from an already successful park to research everything new and max out all the new dinosaur genomes before you actually start working on the new island park.
It's upto you if you want to do that though.
