i don't know if this is an option at all having not played yet, but as you can adjust the number of staff that work in these buildings is there a chance that you have no staff working there?
Standard there is 1 Staff for 240 Customers but every Time I look at the Buildings, I have 0/240 Customers and I don't know why.
Ok, now I build 1 Fast Food Restaurant right in front of the Entrance from the Park and now I get Customers. Don't now why. I've build the other Buildings further away from the Entrance.

without having the game in front of me I can't be of much help I'm afraid, but check that you definitely have a path connected to the front of the building and that path connects to others that guests can get to. Check that you have selected items to actually sell and check that the price isn't too high

Also I've seen on other buildings that the far most right tab in the building management gives you an option to shut the building down (can't remember what the button's actually called but it's a way you can do crisis management, save running costs and save power if you're in a pinch) so maybe check that this isn't selected either?

location of the buildings on the map shouldn't affect it at all, I've already seen plenty of gameplay with guest buildings in all number of different places and all have generated income
It's a bit hit and miss at the moment OP.
I've a fast food place, clothes store and gift shop by the entrance and they don't make any sales, I originally had them near the hotel, but they made no sales there either.

I have the same problem.
Played for about 2 hours (I'm at the beginning) and I have no customers in my souvenir or food shops.

Is this really a problem?
I'm not ingame right now, but I think my park was opened from the beginning?!
I'm getting money from tickets they are buying for the park itself.

I'm told you'll get more customers if you build it in hotspots like dino viewing areas. For example, you have an observation tower with a good coverage of an enclosure, place your restos, shops and other secondary attractions beside or across from the tower.

You have to build shops and food places near attractions, otherwise no one will shop at them, place down a viewing platform, gyro, etc, then place them nearby, the number of customers is based of the dino rating nearby, so multiple exibits in one area will flood that store etc.
