Also I've seen on other buildings that the far most right tab in the building management gives you an option to shut the building down (can't remember what the button's actually called but it's a way you can do crisis management, save running costs and save power if you're in a pinch) so maybe check that this isn't selected either?
location of the buildings on the map shouldn't affect it at all, I've already seen plenty of gameplay with guest buildings in all number of different places and all have generated income
I've a fast food place, clothes store and gift shop by the entrance and they don't make any sales, I originally had them near the hotel, but they made no sales there either.
I only had scientists and workers walking around to start with.
Played for about 2 hours (I'm at the beginning) and I have no customers in my souvenir or food shops.
Is this really a problem?
I'm not ingame right now, but I think my park was opened from the beginning?!
I'm getting money from tickets they are buying for the park itself.
