Anyone else concerned about building space?

On JPOG you could make a massive island and fill it with at least 20 enclosures if you wanted to. I feel like from what I've seen, the islands are pretty small and can house a lot less.

Space is part of the challenge for most of the islands.

Isla Nublar, the 'free mode' where you can do anything has quite a lot of space to it. It's also ment to replicate the islands from the film.

Assuming the game gets some kind of Steam Workshop in the future, more islands could get added in some kind of custom mode.

nublar is what you would expect from jpog. devs have already said there will be no workshop or mod support

Nublar also takes away the money aspect so it's not quite solving the issue for me. I'm sure there will be websites like NexusMods that will get round the lack of workshop

yea that second island on that livestream was shocking from a design point of view. cramp it all into together squash it up and thats the plan there, nice and close, let that ramped up weather take the lot out at once is the way to go...

he even placed down waht 5/6 commerical buildings and that was a quarter of that space totally gone wasnt it... even on the first island they just whacked a few dino pens right on the edge of the map miles fromthe beaten track because there was no place else to put it.

you people saying "no" all saw the border showing the playable area right. or did ya miss it

i tell ya whats going to happen is your going to seperate your minds eye park design into several chunks, your going to have a bird island, a figher island, a herbivore island,

just gimme one large island youve created a scenario where i have to change parks to advance and it suxs, sry

Tbh the island I saw them on last night, my first thoughts were 'small as heck'. I kinda figured they get bigger as you go though (I only stayed to see one island though).

The first islands we see are small tutorial Islands.

Maybe later you can buy more parts of the land like city skylines.

That sounds false, given the devs already confirmed Nublar is the 'Sandbox' mode of the game with unlimited funding, and is unlocked after getting 4 stars on the first island.

Unlimited funding? I hope you can toggle that on and off, cause I don't want unlimited funding and Nublar is the island I most wanna play

they did say that modding would be a thing, who knows, Custom islands might be a thing. Hell I wouldent think that adding in random island generation in the game couldent be too hard, we did it in 2005 for gods sake!

Nublar is the 2nd largest island, Sorna is the final island you unlock and they said it was going to be the largest IIRC. I dont know if its extra challenging being the last one but that may be more to your liking.

We don't really know the size of enclosure dinosaurs will need. Also, certain species like herbivores can share same enclosure since they wont fight each others. Unless a certain specy doesn't like to live with different species, you can stack many of them in same space. I would only make smaller enclosures and seperate the carnivores and only put them with animals of same specy or alone.
