Anyone remember scan command?

Back in the old days there used to be a jurassic park game called scan command, the game came with a upc scanner and you would scan bar codes off of food products or other items. Unfortinatly the codes were one time use/collect and people ended up scanning newspapers print in hopes of random codes to be collected. It was a collect dino dna and improve the creatures you collected in the game...

I remember it fondly, prefered it over the Dinosaur Battles version of the game, cause with Scan Command you kind of have to use the scanner to progress and gave more of the feeling that you accomplished something. I use to run around the grocery scanning everything in sight with that thing.

I played Dinosaur Battles the non scanning version of Scan Command, was a fun game imo though I never completed it.
