Jurassic World Evolution

Vezi statistici:
Utah raptor not velociraptor
i find it sad that jurrasic park continues to call thier utah raptors velociraptors. the real velociraptors were the size of a large chicken not 6 ft tall, those are utah raptors or some call mega raptors,

Utah raptor gtfo, you Americans think you're the center of the galaxy, what's next? Washington Rex?

It's the canadians you gotta worry about what with their albertosaurus, albertonykus, edmontonia, and edmontosaurus.

Edit: Fixed typo :steammocking:

If you want a somewhat reliable explanation, their DNA is coded with that of frogs, meaning that their DNA isn't complete and modifications have been made to them. This was stated in Jp1 and Jurassic World. It isn't a great way to overlook the scientific inaccuracies, but it's better than nothing right?

If you pay attention to any of the movies and the two books you would know. The "dinosaurs" in JP ARE NOT DINOSAURS. They are incomplete genomes and would be very different otherwise. They mention it every installment. JP is a money based attraction. Of course they call them dinosaurs.

They aren't Utahraptor. Utahraptor was discovered after the movie came out. They aren't Megaraptor either, as Megaraptor weren't dromaeosaurs, despite the word "raptor" being in its name. Megaraptor didn't have the sickle claw on their feet either. The Jurassic Park raptors were based on Deinonychus.
They are actually based on Deinonychus, Crichton explained in his book why they are named that way, because Deinonychus was once called Velociraptor Antirrhopus, but is now Deinonychus Antirrhopus.. Spielberg had renamed the Deinonychus in the movie to Velociraptor because he felt it sounded "more dramatic".

Firstly, you are insanely wrong. Their size is more akin to Achillobator and Utahraptor wasn't discovered at the time of Jurassic Park's Raptors being designed, they were based on Deinonychus but renamed to Velociraptor. Secondly, Megaraptor is not even a raptor and is much bigger than Velociraptor nublarensis.

It's science fiction, not realism, it means that the dinos of jp and jw are fictitious
^
This.

But I do feel your pain mhug_. I'm sure there will be plenty more innacurate dinosaurs that were featured in the JP and JW movies. *cough* *cough* Spinosaurus *cough* *cough*
Spino was a hybrid and literally every dinosaur in Jurasic Park is inaccurate.

It is a Raptor that was found in Utah. Like Argentinosaurus and Albertosaurus were found in their respective regions.
stop comparing J Park dinos to real dinos they are far from real dinos as they are heavily Genetically Modified and are mostly fictitious.

As the Guys in Jurassic World said: Made them bigger with more theeth.
i find it more funny that we legit have two deinonychus because we have velociraptor and deinonychus antihropus which are pretty much synonymous

If you want realism go buy saurian, jp dinos are fused with toad and a bunch of other DNA they are not supposed to be super realistic.

Not likely. Deinonychus is still smaller than the raptors in JP. They said they were about 6 feet tall, putting Deinonychus still under the proper height. I'm pretty sure it was based on the Utahraptor, which were easily 6 feet tall and about 12 feet long or so.

actually no, Micheal Crichton and Spielberg changed the name from Deinonychus to Velociraptor for it to sound better and scarier before the first novel was published. You can just simply google this and you'll see this was planned since the book began to be created.

Yup, it's on the web. They actually discovered the utah raptor while they were shooting the first JP.

...The "raptors" portrayed in Jurassic Park were actually modeled after the closely related dromaeosaurid Deinonychus...

...Production on Jurassic Park began before the discovery of the large dromaeosaurid Utahraptor was made public in 1991, but as Jody Duncan wrote about this discovery: "Later, after we had designed and built the Raptor, there was a discovery of a Raptor skeleton in Utah, which they labeled 'super-slasher'. They had uncovered the largest Velociraptor to date - and it measured five-and-a-half-feet tall, just like ours. So we designed it, we built it, and then they discovered it. That still boggles my mind..
