No HDR support on PC, only XBOX ONE X. WTF developers???

This is very wrong and should be reported to the Federal Trade Commission
and European Commission. This is espically bad as the new ACER 4K HDR monitor released June 1 and the ASUS is going to be relased June 22. I was going to get the ASUS, and just hearing about this makes be kinda regret spending so much in a monitor and not being able to put it too good use becuase of these bad pratices from developers! The list of HDR games on PC is very small and developers choose not to support it because of a stupid agreement or somesort! This is bad pratice and is unfair to PC gamers who want more HDR games on PC. Heck it doesn't even mention HDR support on PS4 PRO! Or Maybe... They just don't care? After all they don't NEED the game to be on an HDR monitor to play, it's not like the game has more features if you choose to do so. it just boils down to visual preference.

As it stands now, HDR is still mostly just a marketing buzzword in the realm of gaming.

Me and a few other people will be contacting FTC and see what there say is in all of this. This is bad pratice and has to be considered illegal on Microsoft's part for paying all these developers of the games mentioned above to only include HDR on XBOX ONE X.

Yeah they do, but HDR makes a big difference to the qulaity of the game by itself. Maybe even more so than Ultra and High settings. Some have said HDR is a bigger leap forward than 1080p and 4K. I dont know about that, maybe 1440p and 4K.

If HDR is not supported by this game as well as other PC games and from what I've been reading that it's microsoft's fault... Shouldn't you be complaining to Microsoft? Frontier doesn't seem to be the one at fault from my understanding. Or did I miss something? Feel free to tell me I missed something. Would be really enlightened to hear it. >_>

It's not, but it's something that should be there if XBOX ONE X has it. After all, PC's capable of way more powerful than console depending on the hardware. I have a AMD RYZEN Threadripper 1950X @ 4.1 GHz, and a Titan X, and 32 GB of DDR4 @ 3800MHz.

No problems with HDR on Windows 10 April update version 1803, have you even been keeping up with the tech news? HDR is bascially perfected with this version of Windows. All that's lacking is HDR games.

one could also just play the XB1X version of the game, problem solved if its just about graphical pleasure.

No because it's a choice of developers to accept that agreement/contract or whatever. It's not like Microsoft is putting a gun to their heads.
