Jurassic World Evolution
Feeding Dinosaurs To Other Dinosaurs?
I am wondering if we get bonuses for giving our carnivores live dinosaur prey, rather than just feeding them mammals from a farm.
Would probably be more entertaining for the guests, and would make for a more realistic ecosystem for the researchers to study.

if i remember correctly you would get a bonus for having dinosaurs of either same dig sites or same time periods but there would also be bonuses for prey and predator relationships (dont quote me on this i think i saw this somewhere but im unsure) for example either cory or ouranosaurus' being fed to spinosaurus would give authenticity for being from the same area and time period
I think they explained it in Baron's video that certain APEX predators will gain prestige if they kill other predators that they are encaged with, which will draw visitors to the park to see specific Dinosaurs.
So it's really a question if you are willing to sacrifice predator(s) to allow another of your predators to gain prestige, looking at how it might just end up killing your dear gladiator-rex.

I assume this is why they have combat stats for the individual dinos. In one of the pictures on the steam page you can see a T-rex inside its enclosure eating a Stegosaurus.

It's how you keep big carnivores and velociraptors from rampaging in JPOG, so I don't see why not

Who would do that? Imagine if Jurassic Park/World was a thing.. Cloning a Dinosaur is so expansive and there is so much science in it, that do it just to feed other dino is stupid. Give them a sheep or a cow. Makes no sense to give them other dinos. I hope you don't own a real business in real life.

This is the first result on google for "Feeding dinosaurs to other dinosaurs" which is why I'm reviving this ancient post, but it seems to be cheaper if not about on-par to just clone and release a steady supply of struthimimus into my predator enclosure.
Dinos have a fame rating. They get half the other dino's rating when they kill it.

I used to feed my t-rex gallimimus
1st game and just had a dino whacked another and was looking to see if it's a good thing or bad... and if bad, how to stop it aside from darting the aggressor.
For what I noticed, if a carnivore killed other dinos, this will not satisfy his hunger lvl... So, completely useless to feed dinos to each other as food!

My dinosaurs have been hunting for fun but occasionally will eat after killing. It seems to be fairly random. If a body sits around long enough they'll go over and eat it.

They will eat from other dinos they killed. Which is far better than locking on from other side of the map and genociding the other animals.

Considering the very small number of dinosaurs existing, I think genocide might actually be a proper term in this context.
At launch carnivores would ignore everything if there was any other animal they didnt like nearby. They would instantly go and kill them despite being at full hunger.
