It would actually be a cool side effect of an escape if a few dinos got out and one changed genders. There was a fan theory I read about raptor pack leader in the original JP actually changing to a male, leading to a park wide wild raptor infestation, citing the eggs Dr. Grant found. I doubt it will be something that happens in the base game since all the dinos are female, but who knows... maybe in a DLC, or update down the road?

They said there are no infant models for the dinosaurs and that they are all female, just like in the films. But in some videos from the demo gameplay and interviews, people have mentioned the way dinosaurs can change genders and the developers were sort of sketchy about it. Having males and females and breeding was one of the top things I wanted this game to have, but I wouldn't count on it.

My guess is no, though to be fair the first film did say that life found a way so that they could breed

Considering Grant and the kids find hatched eggs in the wild and JP2, JP3 and JW feature juvenile animals its really not such a dumb question at all.

Difference though between JP2/3 and JW is that in JW the juveniles are under surveilance and the Isla Sorna animals are free.

They discovered how the dinosaurs managed to breed, they had used a genome from a particular frog that was capable of changing its gender. Thus, some dinosaurs had the ability to change gender and hence we saw eggs in the film. It's not like mating is impossible and if the developers want to stick with the lore and events - Dinosaurs eventually being able to mate because you modified their genomes with certain gender-changing species would be plausible and quite frankly a nice feature if you want to build a dinosaur reserve.

Reading the Jurassic Park book they do breed so it could be implimented tough I doubt it will be.

The unsupervised animals started breeding, which led to them heading to the mainland.

I would assume that in JW they are smarter than using the mutating genes that would allow this....however devils advocate....I don't see why having male and female would be a bad thing....in real life many cattle breeders will put their bulls with the herd for a period of time when they wish to breed the heard then remove them to their own seperate pens. I don't see why the same technique of crowd control could not be applied here sperating the males and females into seperate enclosures. The risk would be the player getting busy and not noticing a male hatched and then eventually having a woopsie daisey.

I think that it would be cool if we had female only dinosaurs on every island, except for when we reach isla sorna (the island from Lost World and JP3). They had a male T-rex and baby, and implied that all the dinosaurs on that island were a mix of male and female. It would make sense for the normal parks to only have females... but if they gave us the ability to have males bred on isla sorna, it would almost give that island the vibe of being where we truly breed the dinosaurs to study them for the rest of the parks.
