You are right.
But isn't that the whole point of the STORY?
It's not about making a limit, it's about making progress in the sandbox.
Sorna is probably just as big as Nublar and is part of the 5 deaths. It appears to be the last island so it's probably the closest to what you are looking for.
To unlock things for sandbox
because that would defeat the purpose of the entire game
All people want to do is build their park from the ground up while still having to manage it and watch their funds. Having unlimited money takes away a large chunk of the enjoyment of having to build a park in the first place. It's like cheating, sure it might be all fun and games but you very quickly reach the point of "Now what?".
Think Challenge mode in Planet Coaster.
There might 5 other islands in the game that let you do that, but obviously the islands are all different. Nublar offers control over the experience so you can build a massive park in whatever conditions you want.
That
Defeats
The Purpose
Of
The Game
Either get that through your head, or don't get the game. Frontier isn't going to make "all the islands sand box" simply because kids are whining about the game not meeting 1000% of their expectations. If they want a sandox, just unlock Nublar. But to make all of the islands sandbox would be a waste of time and resources just to make 0.0000000001% of people happy.
