Game feels cheap.
*Updated*

Coming from a huge Jurassic Park fan, I was anticipated for the title upon announcement. After release I couldn't wait to get my hands on it (pre-order). After playing I could see the fundamental flaws this game has which unfortunately outweigh the pro's of the game, which left me utterly disappointed. I'm not here to bash the title, community or the development as I do support the effort and work that has been put in by FD. I hope some of the feedback/comments can help fix it's flaws and further improve the game in future updates.

I'll start of with the Pro's of the game:
-Building design/aesthetics all look sensational in that of authenticity to JP (keep up the good work!)
-The graphics passes modern standards for video games
-Overall the game is immersive enough to let you run a plausible dinosaur park within JP's theme
-Standard walking and movement animations for the dinosaurs are great
-Game features are variety of attractions and buildings to build.
-Iconic characters/voice acting that are authentic to the JP franchise
-Ease of management across map and UI
-Finding and obtaining fossils, fossil grades and reconstructing dinosaurs by DNA
-Iconic music, across JP movies.
-Jeff Goldblum, nough said.

Cons:
-Some looped animations can get too repetitive (dinosaur fighting, idling, eating/drinking)
-Dinos can only fight 1v1 (No herd protection from other dinosaurs or pack hunting)
-Also for environmental animations (foliage, wind, etc).
-Same for guests animations (lack of variety)
-Building system needs re-work, buildings feels repetitive e.g. power source and power lines
-Lack mod support not associated with JP (for appearance e.g. allow realistic looking dinosaurs e.g. feathers, gameplay e.g. dinosaur male/female breeding/eggs).
-Lacks marine and also winged dinosaurs
-Dinosaur DNA Crossbreeding (should not be implemented)
-Annoyances during gameplay e.g. dinosaur A.I making illogical decisions, breaking out randomly
-Herding (A.I interaction)
-Keeping the dinosaurs content under specific circumstances (again A.I needs fix)
-Dinosaurs lack "natural" behaviour
-Lack of overall game content, for replayability
-Island is too small in sandbox mode
-no pause during gameplay
-Game overall feels like an "premium" version of a smartphone title.
-Lacks overall game depth
-Needs more immersion e.g. a real life aquarium, scripted and bland, doesn't feel like a live world
-Guests feel "soulless"
-Dinosaurs don't really interact interestingly with each other apart from fights
-Key game content locked behind a paywall (don't mind paying if the game is outstanding)
-Artificially create an endless stream of nonsensical crises in order to give you something to do as the rest of the game play
-Overall shallow gameplay
-Not worth value for money in it's current state (not including discount/sale)

Ideas:
-Allow dinosaur training, allowing them to get along with each other and possible human interactions.
-Marine and aviary attraction

None of your observations are correct. Do you even play the game? You don't play the steam version any way.

Needs more work done to make dinosaur and player interaction more immersive e.g. treat it as "fish tank". Game feels boring after watch the dinosaur aimless walk around in looped animation. Perhaps needs a new mode where player integrates all species on 1 giant experimental island? Or other ideas such as guest, visitor interaction with dinosaurs, dinosaur training etc.
i like how you say this yet you dont have steam ver.

I don't have the steam version either. Does that mean my PS version is different from the steam version?

Poor graphics? Must be on a potato.

Mod support? Not frontiers fault. Its universals and we dont need mod support.

Reptitive gameplay? See, any game ever.

Misleading campaign? Explain.

DNA crossbreeding/Lame DLC? You do realize you are playing. JURASSIC WORLD: EVOLUTION. JURASSIC WORLD WAS BASED OFF OF INDOMINUS REX WHO WAS A DNA CROSSBREED.

Dinosaur walk aimlessly in a looped animation? All games have looped animations. Everyting is going to be looped at one point.

You want 1 experimental island? Alright I can understand that and wont argue it.

Guest/visitor interaction with dinosaurs? You want your guests to pet a Dinosaur? Thats not actually a bad idea as long as its small dinos but since we dont use children in JW:E it woudln't happen.

Dinosautr training? Alright Chris Pratt. Calm down.

I think they missed the mark on this one, it seems like a great idea. I tried something like this on the big island but the animals do not walk around enough to even "migrate" from one side of the island to the other. Would have really been a Jurassic Park.

They nearly had it. Big disappointment. Looking forward to their new Zoo game. Atleast it won't have DNA crossbreeding DLC for 8 year olds.

Que?

English IGN gave it a 4.8 score, Spanish IGN gave it a 8.5.

Can you please stop posting review videos no one is interested in?

Regular people normally have their own opinion instead of using the opinion of someone else.
As that exactly is what game reviews are. The subjective opinion of someone else.

If you want to argue, use your own arguments. ;)

Ah thanks, I couldn't find that rating difference.

Yet that actually strengthens my point about game reviews. Subjective and redundant.
Good to gather just some information about the game, but nothing you should rely on. ;)

Agreed, people's opinions are subjective, some call this game a scam or trash, others find it fun and challenging, online review sites have their own biases and interests, IGN is no different, so in the end it is ultimately up to the individual players to decide.
ThruuLottleDats Jun 19, 2019 @ 4:41am
While reviews are subjective at best, I have skipped ahead in that vid he posted and at around 7;24 he starts listing his negatives for the game that I certainly have as well plus have seen other people point out as well.

So either there's a common denominator or there is a very huge bandwagon where everyone is in.

If you read the title, I am supporting my statement.
