How long have you been experiencing this issue?
Is the game installed on the SSD drive?

Since I updated Ubisoft Connect launcher today.
The game was working fine before this (a couple of days ago) and it started to happen yesterday, right after the patch.
Also, there's a lot of people having the exact same issue, so it's clearly not the users fault.
I'd suggest Ubisoft to just roll back this last patch (get back to the previous version), until they can figure out what's wrong and (hopefully) fix it.
What's not acceptable is that people just can't play the game at all..
Same time frame as everyone else here, it seems. For context, I was doing many races the night before the update, and the application never even crashed once. The day after the update, I came back and the game consistently freezes and crashes at the main menu.
Not mine, no, but it should be irrelevant since I had 10 uninterrupted hours of gameplay before this update.
I'd tried all these before finding this thread, along with some other suggested fixes across the web for startup crash fixes.
I couldn't have put it any better than this user had, but I'm not optimistic because Ubisoft really loves to draw the line at simply backpedaling to fix their mistakes.
