Game crashes after clicking Continue story
halo is there any fix game crashing , when i click continue story it loads for a bit and then crashes me and a friend have the same issue since today

Same to me - started happening today - I have been playing for about 4 months without issues - there was an UbiSoft Connect (launcher) update today and the issues begun after that - I tend to believe it's related..

My game is crashing I guess after the latest Ubisoft Connect update. I click Start Your Story, the game crashes after few seconds. So I can't even press Continue, it just crashes.

Do you get any error messages when the game crashes? If so, would you be able to send us a screenshot of the error?
How long have you been experiencing this issue?
Is the game installed on the SSD drive?

have done all the trouble shooting topics that is provided in the trouble shooting guide and still this issue remains and game is on ssd , it worked fine before the ubisoft update

No errors, no messages, but one guy on Ubisoft Discord server posted a screenshot with Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library error. Termination in an unusual way or something like that.

The issue is clearly related to the latest Ubisoft Connect patch/update.

The game was working fine before this (a couple of days ago) and it started to happen yesterday, right after the patch.

Also, there's a lot of people having the exact same issue, so it's clearly not the users fault.

I'd suggest Ubisoft to just roll back this last patch (get back to the previous version), until they can figure out what's wrong and (hopefully) fix it.
What's not acceptable is that people just can't play the game at all..

Same time frame as everyone else here, it seems. For context, I was doing many races the night before the update, and the application never even crashed once. The day after the update, I came back and the game consistently freezes and crashes at the main menu.

Not mine, no, but it should be irrelevant since I had 10 uninterrupted hours of gameplay before this update.

I'd tried all these before finding this thread, along with some other suggested fixes across the web for startup crash fixes.

I couldn't have put it any better than this user had, but I'm not optimistic because Ubisoft really loves to draw the line at simply backpedaling to fix their mistakes.

I have a friend with the latest Ubisoft Connect installed (159.0.11374), and his game is still working fine. He has Win 10 Pro with English system language (I have Win 10 Home, and my language is not English), so may be it's related to that. No idea.
