Key mapping causes my game to crash

I'm using the logitech g920 and I have all my keys mapped and ready to go. Except for steering when I go to set it up then go back to the game or go to start the game I get a black screen that says Live in the corner.
It gets stuck on that screen and doesn't do anything. I can't even close the game since alt+tab isn't allowing me to open any other tabs so I have to entirely reset my pc and try again. Only for the game to crash.

I just unboxed my new g920 today and I noticed the same thing. What I did to relieve it was remove the usb connection and start the game up normally. Once youre in then plug in your controller. It works but I spent 2 hours trying to get the steering to feel right and I cant stand it, I dont think this game is optimized well for the g920.

Same here, I use Thrustmaster TMZ wheel and pedals, cannot remap keys without the game crashing, anyone find a solution yet?

Both the G29 & G920 are now supported in-game, as you can read here[support.ubisoft.com]

For those of you experiencing crashing, can you please give the steps[support.ubisoft.com] in our guide a try and let us know if there are any changes?

Do you also receive any error messages or codes at all when crashing?

For anyone still here in 2023. Still an issue. Changing control mappings is an instant crash too

It was "introduced" in a patch at least two years ago. Don't remember exactly which one but they changed something with the settings. So each time you change any button settings for a Wheel, game instant crashed, and they have known about this ever since it started happen.
Only way around was editing the xml manually and set it to Read Only.
