car won't accelerate

Just started and... I can press the accelerate button all i want, the car only gets slower. Once i bring the car to a standstill that is it. Can't get it to drive again. The spedometer is flickering but i won't get any movement out. At least forward that is. Backwards seems to work fine?!? Anyone know what causes this?

accel button?. 1st, whats controller?. check in options for key/button assignments.
do u have like a joystick or other controllers also plugged in? may be them interfering.

Did this happen on the first time youre able to drive the car? I'm using a wheel and pedal setup but faced this same issue. What kind of controller are you using?

had this problem myself.. I should love this game. but this kind of thing vs cheesiness of the intro made me refund it. its as if the car gearbox kept getting confused. I thought wheels where spinning but it wasnt.. started happening on the offroad trucks
