Cant Start The Game
I just downloaded this for the free weekend and it will not start. Ive verified the integrity of the game files and my pc meet the recommended specs of the game. I opened uplay and the same thing happened.

I figured it out. I had to turn off my Malware AntiBytes, Start uplay as an administrator, and start steam as a administrator. after that i went to the Crew 2 file directory and started the .exe as an admin and it worked.

Yeah, I had an error about some library after trying this...

I just reinstalled uplay and it worked after that.

hmm i have the standard bitdefender or whatever comes with windows 10 but not sure i want to turn it off just so a game can boot...

did you try to run it with just steam as admin and not the game or did you need both?

curious before i uninstall.

edit: i added an exception for the game & folder in the antivirus program including the other anti cheat exe still doesnt work and i tried starting steam and thecrew2 as admin makes no difference shrug*

No i turned my antivirus back on the second time i played. i restarted steam and ran it as admin and uplay. then ran the crew 2 exe as admin and it worked fine. i guess i didnt need my antivirus off. if that still doesnt work you can try running the TheCrew2_BE.exe as admin first then the main games .exe .

Right click on the game and go to your local files. Then right click on your exe and go to properties do these things.

In the compatability tab...
1: Run as administrator.
2: In compatability mode run under windows 8.

Luanch game.

After the first launch you can take off the compatability mode. Its basically so the ubisoft launcher will load and activate the game.

Running the game in Windows 8 compatibility mode fixed the issue for me.

Removing BattlEye and verifying the files to have them reinstalled didn't fix the issue for me.
Running the game as Administrator did not fix the issue for me.
