The game is literally a parody of a racing game at this point. Unless you're on playstation there's no reason to pick this game over forza horizon 4 (5 to come out later this year) unless you really want to do, idk, race planes..?
Over half the game is just gimmicks to appeal to a wider (And younger) audience. All of the world records on all the major races are either bugged, or shortcuts that make no sense. Even in live pvp races people take the most bizarre shortcuts.
literally a garbage games with very few positives. (Still i've played it quite a bit)
So, here's some tips if someone wants to try to beat these scott races without using the underpowered cars (maybe for the challenge, or just in case the exploit gets patched in the future idk)
- Cars: Use only the cars with the new handling, preferably the best ones (rn is the RS01 and Gallardo). The old handling cars could maybe work on golden hills, but they can't stand a chance on the giants race track.
- Parts: Full nitro chemist set is absolutely necessary. For the affixes, i suggest making all nitro focused (pure/extra pump), or making a mix between nitro and slipstream (pure/extra pump/air intake/shifty). I found the latter particulary effective on the giants chaebung race. Get these affixes as close to maxed out as possible (something around 80% their affix range is good enough)
- Pro tuning: There isn't a golden rule for this, since the best tuning varies with every car. Something i did that helped me a lot was stiffening the suspension and anti roll bars (Susp reb/sups comp/arb sliders, all to the right +). I mostly use the RS01, and stiffening these comps all the way to maximum made the car perfect, for the gallardo, was a bit too much. At the end, is much more a matter of testing to see which values makes your car better. Keep in mind tho, stiffening the susp and arb will make the car trashier on bumps and offroads, making it harder to use shortcuts or to recover if you get out of the track.
- Strats: Scott's car is insanely grippy on turns, to the point on which you can't keep up with him alone. The only thing that can stop him from dominating the race, is another car blocking his race line. So:
* At the start of the race, use everything you got to get to the 1st pos.
* Being on 2nd place, Scott will try to overtake you constantly. So, close every possible gap, and play defensively at the most agressive way you can, blocking his front and giving him a side push into the wall when possible (do not ram, it will not work). try your hardest to not let him pass you.
* If scott overtakes you, use your nitro and slipstream to get back to 1st pos as quickly as possible, and do not ever let him get away from slipstream distance, if he distanciates too much, there will be no way you can catch him, and the race is already lost.
* Save your nitro to use on offences, as not letting him do a overtake, or to catch up with him. If you're on the first pos, using nitro will get you some distance, but he will quickly catch you. Bear in mind, the entire race will be around both of you mostly side by side, attacking and defending constantly. And this is stressful af.
* You will have to play on the track a couple of times to get the hang of it, how to stay on the race line, how scott behaves on this track, etc. Most of the time, there will be no room for mistakes, you will be heavly punished for any bump, crash or for getting outside the track. I'd recommend doing the golden hill tracks first, as they're the easiests, even with him driving with god's hand. Giants chaebung is the hardest of them all, to win this race, i've had to pull a 03'21 time, which put me on the 103th pos on the leaderboard, and even then almost losing on the finish line, with scott just by my side. That's actually insane, having to make an almost top 100 time just to win a race lol.
That's it, if you just want an easy win, use the underpowered cars advantage method. But, if you want a real hard challenge (on which means, a lot of rage and suffering), these tips can help you. And after you done beating these races, go play the bayou rally raid on ace, almost as painful as these tc races lol
