Thanks for reaching out to us and I am sorry to hear about the issue you ran into with G920.
In order to troubleshoot this, try doing the following:
1. First, make sure that you have latest drivers installed for your steering wheel, as well as OS up to date and that there are no other controllers/graphics tablets plugged into PC.
2. Then, try completing steps outlined in the following article[support.ubisoft.com]
Should issue persist after completing these, let us know!

Did you look at the link UbiKarl linked to above? It's basically the compilation of how to get wheels working in TC2.
Hope you get yours working soon. =)
I'd also suggest, in case you haven't done so before, that you do some deep Google searches on The Crew 2 G29.
Over the past 18 months or so I've seen many posts just here on Steam about the G29, including folks sharing things they did that made a difference.
Right click at game name in your steam games list, go to Properties, at the bottom of the window there should be something like Steam Input per game setting, try changing it to Forced Off
Please can someone help me because i have no issue with any other game that i use my wheel on including f1 2020 it only seems to be TC2.
My specs are;
Gefore GTX 1050ti 4gb
intel i5 processor
16gb of ram
1tb SSD
500gb HDD
Thanks
Sorry to hear that you are having trouble.
Can I just check that all drivers are up to date for the wheel?
Do you have trouble with any other game at all?
Do you have any open applications in the background? If so what?
Many thanks in advance

Yes i have all my drivers updated as its only the crew 2 that i have the issues with no other game that i can play.
I think I got a similar or at least related problem.
My game loads and runs fine with a wheel enabled, but it freezes whenever I try to change my key mappings while the wheel is plugged in (Thrustmaster TMX).
And by that I don't mean the keys of my wheel, but any key of any input device.
To go a little more into detail and hopefully make it easier to find the cause of the problem:
Changed key mapping of wheel while wheel was enabled
-> Game freezes when I try to save the changes.
Changed key mapping of keyboard while wheel was enabled.
-> Game freezes when I try to save the changes.
Changed key mapping of keyboard while wheel was DISABLED.
-> Changes are saved without a problem.
By the way, I already verified my game files via Uplay / Ubisoft Connect (no issues) and updated my wheels firmware and drivers to the newest version.
I hope my gibberish helps fixing the problem, thanks in advance
