In the current re-run of "They are coming" Summit

How is it that in the "Rally Raid" event where you are flying an aerobatics plane, is it even possible to finish that race in just over 2 minutes?

My PB with a maxed out Zivko Edge is 3:05.something
But 1st place on the leaderboard has a time of 2:01.something

Did they do the event in a crew of 2 and slipstream eachother the whole way?

You were talking about a record that is unbeatable, I know. The leaderboards in general have some crazy scores so I mentioned the speedtrap ones as an example. But hopefully you find the answer, I'd be down to try it with someone if slipstreaming can help finish the event faster.

Its a exploit.

Switch to a special plane (forgot the name, the small one), turn around before you enter the speed trap and you get the speed record for turning not speed.

Shortcuts and full nitro build

Did you do the summit at all? the Rally Raid event bottom right has you flying aerobatic planes, as for shortcuts, just gun it for the checkpoints, and even with full nitro chemist I highly doubt that would be enough to go an entire minute faster.

I do all summit events and I'm always platin or gold if I dont like the platin gift.
ATM I should around 1100 place. Top 4000 starts platin, so enough room.

EDIT: Take the plane which all people use in the top 100

the plane race meta is a very awkward 90° snap with a set with tricky(for nitro regen from snapping) and frenetic(boost rises over time), and this allow you to hold nitro down for as long as you're snapping 90° for nitro and the top speed difference is huge between regular nitro usage vs long hold frenetic.

i just watched a youtube of a good player... get just under 3 minutes
and you have to put in good effort to do that with tricky and quarter turns to
boost your nitro...

2 minutes does seem dubious...

Go directly between checkpoint, the plane tricky snap is extremely hard to do, most people simply had to cope with regular flying including me.

Well damn, that's kinda disappointing. I thought the players actually tried to slipstream each other to get on that speed just like OP said. But thanks for the info. Seems like there are also glitches for money and followers but I ain't doing that, wanna do it the legit way.

you can still do 2 man dragster slipstream to hit like 715+kmph which are more than enough for plat

That might be the better plane, I have barely even touched Aerobatics in this game but do have maxed parts for it. I'll get that plane and see if it's any better than the Zivko Edge.

there is way to hit it with gears and nitro. there is timeing for Corvette Stingray between 4 and 5 gear. also recomend for staring of 3 gear.
