Is it worth to get The Crew 2 in 2024?

I was wondering if i should get The Crew 2 in this steam fest for 7$ but one thing that always concerns me is the thing that Ubisoft did with The Crew. Will they do the same with The Crew 2 ?

The Crew lasted 10 years, so there are probably at least 4 years left for The Crew 2.

I highly doubt they will renew licenses in case they expire, cause they didn't do it for The Crew 1 and I also doubt they will deliver offline play, since they didn't do it for The Crew 1.

Maybe this time the licensing deals are unlimited? No idea, but I wouldn't buy this product if I don't know every detail.

If you're looking for guaranteed longevity, the one that will "survive" the longest will be Motorfest, as it's the newest one. If TC2 has 4 more years in it, like Termix is suggesting, legislation will likely come into affect to force game developers to provide offline patches within that time period. However, that's not a guarantee so it's up to you. $7 for TC2 is a great deal and you can get a lot of enjoyment out of it, even if it is only available for a few more years.

It's unlikely since for whatever reason they wanted to market it as an MMO and we also know what happened to The Crew 1.
At this price it will not really hurt your wallet if it gets shut down in 4 years, but I personally don't reward bad business practices.

If you are looking for Live service Arcade type of game i recommend going with Forza Horizon better game, and they wount ♥♥♥♥ it down. They announced they will stop selling Forza Horizon 4, but you will be able to play the game, they are just stopping with the Festival events. And once it comes all the cars will be unlocked to you - my point being the Horizon series is the better choice.

If you are not a fan of Live service games, but love open world/arcade racers i recommend NFS Heat - it has a thriving online community and it's a fun game you can pick for a bargin price.

Keep in mind that the game will not be yours, it will be "rented". an advice?!?! buy any Forza horizon and you can play forever... if that matters to you

Thank you guys for the help i got myself Forza horizon 4 and Ride 4 for bike racing i wanted Crew 2 just for riding bikes and i found RIDE 4.

If vanity items are important to you, yes. The Crew 2 is still producing exclusive content and new Summit rewards; you can't get them in Motorfest but you can import them.
