theres two onscreen prompts not sure how u missed those..
if anything you may wanna wait about 10 seconds after each prompt, otherwise you may get empty world and no one turning up on pvp. just have to let the game load properly.
i usually drive around for a minute or until everything shows up. same when pvp goes empty, comer out of it, drive around then go back in, hussar there are tons of people there.
Then go get yourself something to drink or grab a snack.
Or just take a moment to stand and give yourself a huge stretch.
By the time you are back at your keyboard you can start hitting enter to skip video.
But, like Amorphos, when I am finally looking at the menu screen with vehicles, crew, etc I usually just let the game sit a moment. I don't have it installed on an SSD and it seems that it's still loading a bit in the background, so I just alt-tab away and set up my Spotify queue, then alt-tab back and I'm good to go.
If you truly loathe the videos I'm sure you can take replace the video files with something short and blank.
I actually recall doing that with the Conan setting survival game. Got it for free and I recall there were long videos that you couldn't skip and nothing was loading. Someone put together blank replacement files for them. Switched them out and the game loaded so much faster. But that doesn't seem to be the case with TC2, there really is stuff going on in the background.
Now videos leading into events... Well you can skip those... The unskippable ones though are horrific. Just wait for near the end of this year when they incorporate that one old Live winter event into the Summit.
Oh cool! That's good to know. Another reason to save the money to replace my aux drive with one. Thanks! XD
Usually this is the time to get new coffee
