I think doing the longest HC race mb good, esp if you have a set of loot to 2x the followers gained.

maine highlands cave jetsprint with cut, uber dam powerboat or south beach drag. on ace difficulty and 2x follower bonus along with as much perk points on popular as possible.

the longest hc race is a waste of time, bad follower/time ratio

Lattrel's Car Part 1 in Vegas, with shortcuts you can finish it under 8 minutes for 100k bucks and 1 icon level (2 with yellow magnet parts)
